Things To Do

If you're looking for things to do while you're here, we've got you covered! Here is a list of some of our favorite places in the city.
White River State Park/ Zoo

White River State Park/ Zoo

1202W West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222
, (317) 630-2081

The White River State park is just a 5-minute walk from the Fairfield Inn & Springhill suites, where room blocks are reserved (see Travel page). Enjoy the park, visit the zoo, or enjoy the beautiful art & architecture as you walk the Canal Central Trail (one of our favorites!) along the downtown canal. If you have the time, visit our favorite stretch of the canal trail - we've spent countless hours between White River State Park & Saint Clair Street.

Indiana State Museum

Indiana State Museum

650 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 232-1637

The Indiana State museum is located along the Central Canal walking trail and is a great place to stop and learn a little about our state's history. Located walking distance along the Canal Central Trail from the White River State Park.

Soldiers and Sailors Monument

Soldiers and Sailors Monument

1 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 232-7615

Located in the heart of downtown Indy in Monument Circle, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument is an Indiana icon. From the observation deck at the top, you can see a 360-degree view of the downtown skyline.

Indianapolis City Market

Indianapolis City Market

222 East Market Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 634-9266

Indianapolis City Market is home to over 25 locally-owned and operated small businesses selling food, snacks, boutique goods, and more. This was a longstanding brunch haunt of ours, as we couldn't get enough of the life-changing goat cheese & spinach crepes by 3 Days in Paris.

Massachusetts Avenue

Massachusetts Avenue

Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, IN

Mass Ave is a popular destination in Indianapolis for locals and tourists alike - a great place to knock around packed with shopping, restaurants and bars (not to mention character).

Eiteljorg Museum

Eiteljorg Museum

500 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 636-9378

The Eiteljorg Museum (a work of art in and of itself) is known for its extensive collection of Western and Native American art.

Fountain Square

Fountain Square

Indianapolis, IN 46203

We love Fountain Square. It is a fun, funky place to spend an afternoon, filled with shops, restaurants, and even duckpin bowling! For a premium greasy spoon diner experience (at any hour of the day or night), visit Peppy Grill--another one of our cherished breakfast spots.

Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields

Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields

4000 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46208
, (317) 923-1331

The IMA is one of our FAVORITE places - we visited many times when we lived in Indy, and we even had our engagement photos taken there! In addition to the museum itself, Newfields includes over 100 acres of parks, gardens, and outdoor art installations.
