Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is the closest and most convenient international hub. It has excellent flight options and direct train or highway connections into central Rome and the surrounding region.
Getting to the countryside is very straightforward! You have two great options: By Train: Manziana has a regional train station located right behind Villa Clodia in the town center, making it a quick ride directly from central Rome (stations like Roma S. Pietro or Roma Ostiense). By Car/Shuttle: If you prefer a private ride or want to coordinate with other family members, the villa team has recommended a few local shuttle services. Reach out to us directly and we’ll gladly pass their contact info along!
Not necessarily! Since we are keeping our group cluster close together in central Rome for the first few days, and the regional train station is right behind the villa in Manziana, you can easily get around via walking, trains, and local taxis. A rental car is only recommended if you plan to do independent touring before or after our wedding weekend.
Nick and I will be traveling to the villa early in a private car on Wednesday to prepare for the rehearsal. Because of this, we won't be organizing a group shuttle from Rome. We recommend taking the train (which drops you off steps from the villa) or we can gladly pass along contact information for local shuttle services recommended by the venue if you would like to book a private transfer.
Our wedding day dress code is Black-Tie Optional. Tuxedos and floor-length gowns are preferred and encouraged, but not required. We can’t wait to see everyone in their best Italian-inspired formal attire!
Yes! For the Wednesday night Pizza Party, the dress code is Smart Casual / Garden Attire. Think relaxed but elegant—perfect for an outdoor evening in the villa gardens.
Ladies, please note: Villa Clodia features beautiful historic outdoor spaces, including gravel walkways and lawn areas. We highly recommend wearing block heels, wedges, or elegant flats so you can navigate the grounds comfortably without sinking or tripping!
We have hired incredible professional photographers and a videographer to capture our day. We kindly ask that you keep your phones away and remain fully present with us during the ceremony itself. Once the cocktail hour begins, feel free to snap away and share using our hashtag: #WrightWhereWeBelong.
Yes! Italy uses Type C, L, and N plugs with a 230V voltage. If you are traveling from the US, you will need a standard European travel adapter for your devices.
Please refer to the Schedule section of our wedding website for the exact timeline of each day.
