Here's the information for your travel and accommodation options.

Flight

Fly From Anywhere

Fly into Hermosillo (HMO). After you land you can take a shuttle to your accommodation or rent a car. Our wedding planner can help you book either. Here is the WhatsApp phone number: +52 644 229 1681 There will be a lot of people there with cars so if you don’t want to rent one it’s no biggie.

Discount Code - DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT!

Travel Note

Make it a Road Trip

When our family visits San Carlos, we always drive from Phoenix. If you live outside of Arizona, you can still fly into Phoenix/Tucson and road trip from there. It's about an 8 hour drive. Use the Mariposa Nogales Truck Border to cross from the US to Mexico. Many people will be caravanning or carpooling on the way down so you can coordinate with others and travel down together! DON'T FORGET to get Mexico Auto Insurance if you are driving a car across the border. DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT! Here's the link for insurance: https://www.sanborns.com/ We've provided some useful driving tips at the bottom of this page, just scroll all the way down!

House Or Rental

Bahía Delfin (RECOMMENDED)

This is where Nick & McKensie and most of their close family and friends will be staying. Units can be found on VRBO and Airbnb. There are 2-4 bedroom condos, all with an ocean view and full kitchen. They are great for families or groups. Please note that there is not a restaurant on site so this is where having a car comes in handy so you can make store runs for brekky, lunch, and snack items. Reservations contact if not booking through Airbnb or VRBO: Darren Thompson +1 (602) 910-4127 darrensancarlos@gmail.com

House Or Rental

Condominios Pilar (RECOMMENDED)

This is a Condominium complex on the beach right next to Bahía Delfin. Many of our friends and family will be staying here too. There are many condos for rent on VRBO and Airbnb. There are 2, 3, and 4 bedroom condos available. They have full kitchens and there is a small restaurant on site. However, you'd probaby want to also have food in your condo. Pilar reservations contact    (520) 419-1826 Jon@sancarloscondos.com

Driving Tips

Download the directions to your accommodation before leaving home! We usually have service most of the way, but just in case… If you are driving from Arizona, go through the Mariposa Nogales Truck Border. PLEASE stop and fuel up at the Circle K gas station next to the Nogales Holiday Inn Express. It is much cheaper than in Mexico. There are two little buildings next to the hotel and behind the gas station where you can exchange American Dollars for Mexican Pesos. YOU NEED PESOS FOR THE TOLLS ON THE DRIVE. We recommend exchanging at least $100 USD just to be safe. 850 N Shell road Nogales, AZ 85621 Now you're ready to head across the border! When you get to the border it can be a bit confusing, just relax! Follow the signs. Eventually you’ll get to a red or green light situation. Green? No need to pull over. Red? Pull over, wait for security, answer questions, be polite and smile. This is just a random system they use to check vehicles entering the country. “Guaymas” is the sign you follow the whole way. Before Hermosillo, there is a new “Hermosillo Corta” short cut. Take it and follow signs to Guaymas. There WILL BE weird U-turns! Follow until you see SAN CARLOS TURN OFF. About 1 hour from Hermosillo you will see a turn off to San Carlos on your right. Take it and follow your directions to your hotel or condo. If you are staying at Delfin or Pilar, take the round about (which is basically a u-turn) after the big San Carlos sign, then turn off quickly on your right. It’s an obscure road that is easy to miss. Travel Visas - There is currently no need for travel visas. You will need your passport.
