Walk along the beach to the entrance of the estuary! You can’t go very far in because it is lined with mangrove trees, but it is a really nice and long walk.
Go to Gary’s Dive Shop in town and book an ocean excursion.
A famous viewpoint overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Best visited at sunset or sunrise but beautiful at any time of day.
We bring our kayaks and paddle boards every year and paddle along the coast. Dolphins are around quite often and sometimes they come right up to our boards. Inflatables work just as well as solid ones. We bring them to the beach and leave them there to use the whole time we’re there. If using inflatable paddle boards, inflate to 1 PSI higher than the lowest recommended PSI. Example: my board says 13-17 PSI, I inflate mine to 14. The sun causes the air inside to expand and we have unfortunately had paddle board disasters in the past.
We haven’t actually hiked this canyon. We wanted to one year but it was raining:( It’s HOT so keep that in mind.
