FAQs

Question

What are the important guidelines and policies to follow at The Springs Katy?

Answer

The Springs Katy is a completely smoke-free and drug-free area. We kindly ask all guests to be respectful of the venue's property.

Question

Is there parking available at your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is free parking at both St. Cecilia and at The Springs Katy.

Question

Is your wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our ceremony and dinner reception will be indoors. Tuscany Hall at The Springs Katy also has beautiful outdoor landscapes for everyone to explore as well.

Question

Can I RSVP online, or do I need to mail in a response card?

Answer

Please RSVP directly to us via email, text message, or phone call.

Question

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The dress code is formal. Please no jeans or shorts. Houston summers are often hot and humid. Out of respect for the sanctity of the church during the ceremony, we ask that all guests wear modest attire, making sure to cover shoulders and knees.

Question

Are there any colors or styles you prefer guests to wear?

Answer

Our wedding colors are burgundy red, green, and gold; but we welcome guests to wear whatever they are most comfortable in.

Question

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

Houston in late summer is often quite hot with temperatures most likely in the high 90s or low 100s. Humidity is also high at that time of year, typically around 80% or more. We recommend wearing attire that is lightweight but also easy to layer as AC indoors can be cold.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome. For catering purposes, please include a note on your RSVP indicating how many of your children are under the age of 5 years old.

Question

What time should I plan to arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You should plan to arrive at St. Cecilia between 1:30-1:45pm for the ceremony.

Question

Do you recommend any places to eat, drink, and see while I'm in town for your wedding?

Answer

A list of restaurants, activities, and site-seeing recommendations can be found on our travel page!

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Yes! Photos taken by guests are welcome. However, please be mindful and respect any directions or guidance from professional photographers when given.

Question

Can I post photos taken at your wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, but please keep any social media posts family-friendly.

Question

Will you be live streaming your wedding?

Answer

No, we will not be streaming our wedding.

Question

Are there any cultural traditions or best practices that guests should be aware of?

Answer

We ask that guests respect best practices in the church and that any piercings (other than ears) are removed and tattoos are covered.
