We met through some mutual friends at Spotlight Karaoke. We did not get to talk much there, but this is not where the story ends. Our interest for each other was realized at a friends wedding. Being the clever guy I am, I managed to snag a seat by Marina during the reception and we bonded during our conversation. Most of our friends could see the Sparks flying between us. Still, wanting to know her more, I resolved to reach out after the wedding. I failed to get her number there, but we were friends on Facebook. So I sent the best possible message with the smoothest talk I could Muster. "Hey" And that is how we got together!
Nicholas was head over heels for Marina and knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. She made him want to do more, be more, and be the best version of himself. As cliche as it may sound, she completed him, and to this day will always be the better half. During their birthday weekend, Nicholas planned the biggest surprise. Marina, of course, decided to get sick a couple days before but luckily felt well enough to go out by that Saturday. After dinner at the Rouxpour, a sentimental restaurant that over the years has become a go-to date place, the festivities continued to Spotlight Karaoke. Friends and Family were pouring in for a "Birthday Celebration" ( Actually everyone Knew at this point because Nicholas cannot keep a secret). With a surprise serenade of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love", Nicholas got on one knee and pulled out the ring. "He took my breath away, and now we cannot wait to begin our journey of marriage together!"
