Hiking Trails
Monarch Lake This is one of our favorite hikes behind Granby lake. This is a 4 mile loop trail with only 213 feet of elevation for our friends & family who are still becoming acclimated to altitude. Scenic views and beautiful water! Strawberry Lake This is another one of our favorites near Sun Outdoors. This hike is 3.7 miles in length with 892 feet of elevation gain. The hike kicks off with solid incline that flattens out as the trail progresses towards the beautiful and naturally formed Strawberry Lake!
Rocky Mountain National Park
For our nature & animal lovers, the park is a must when driving to or from our wedding weekend. There are two entrances to the park, Estes and Grand Lake (~20 min from Sun Outdoors), that allow you to explore and take in the incredible mountain views. During summer months, you must reserve a timed entry pass to enter the park between the hours of 9 and 2pm for most of the park, some additional entry points for hikes may need additional passes.
