A college Halloween weekend, a hippie and a mermaid walked into a bar and the rest is history. We met while both attending Castleton State College in Castleton, Vermont. Nick played baseball, Kristi played softball and volleyball. A drunken Halloween night (sorry Mom & Dad) led to a student-athlete formal dance, which led to New Year's Eve in Schenectady, and Nick asking Kristi to 'officially' be his girlfriend. With two more years in Castleton together, we enjoyed every carefree moment of college and the beauty of Vermont. In May of 2017, we bid farewell to Castleton (a very sad goodbye), and both moved back to our hometowns. Three years of long distance and being in what we called our 'weekend relationship' led us right into the craziness of COVID-19. Not many good things came from the pandemic, but we were thankful to be able to spend a lot more time together as Kristi worked from home and was able to spend most of her work weeks up in Schenectady. As the world slowly returned, Kristi went back to her crazy regular scheduled events and Nick found his way down state living with The Lawless'. Though we adore our parents, it was time we took the next step and in October of 2021, upon a job offer in Massachusetts, we made our way into enemy territory and moved to Chicopee. It will always be 'Go Yanks!' though we are enjoying Western Mass quite a bit. Then on a perfect New England weekend, we took a trip back to Vermont with all of our family and some of our very best friends, and the moment we had been waiting a long 7 years for all came to life in the most perfect way - Nick asked Kristi to marry him in their favorite place right at sunset. Spoiler alert - she said YES!! And all that, plus many, many more moments along the way, have led us to now and planning our perfect day with you all. Selfishly, our love story is our favorite. However, we are so blessed to be surrounded by the most amazing family and friends on both sides and know that our wedding day will be filled with so much love (and a damn good party)! We cannot wait to celebrate with each and every one of you, and are so excited for our happily ever after! Love you all, K & N
