Why Alaska?

Of the many bucket list items we have, making a stop at every National Park has ranked high up on the list. Time became available in October 2021, and an Alaskan adventure is what we decided to plan as a last minute vacation. Confident after touring through the Western US, we had no real agenda when landing in Fairbanks, only a goal of 2 National Parks in mind, and ending by the Ocean. We were happy we took the last minute journey through Alaska, it took our hearts forever as we traveled over 500 miles in 8 days. Every beautiful scenic stop being more breathtaking than the last. Our adventure started in Fairbanks, with stops in the Alaskan North Pole, Denali National Park, Cantwell, Anchorage, and finishing with 3 days in the Kenai Fjords and Seward, Alaska. October is after the tourist season for Seward, and even though most of the city was closed, we never wanted to leave. On a hike through the Alaskan wilderness, we decided to spend the rest of our lives together. We enjoyed our entire journey, but our favorite stay in Alaska was in Seward at Millers Landing. We knew it was the only place that felt right to promise our selves to forever continue our adventure life as husband and wife.
