Though he seemed reserved at first, Andrea wondered if he wasn’t interested, Nick was simply nervous, searching for the right words. As the evening unfolded, conversation began to flow, and they discovered a shared love of traveling abroad, a beautiful hint of the adventures they would later take together. They laughed over favorite movies and TV shows, and to Nick’s delight, Andrea even knew the details of his beloved Star Wars movie's extended universe. In that moment, Andrea instantly saw a spark in Nick's eye as they were both outed as big nerds. At the time, Nick was still in the midst of building his aviation career and Andrea was still a stressed, sleep-deprived nursing student, both working hard to carve out their individual paths. Yet, even in those early days, they made room for each other. Finding comfort, joy, and encouragement in the small moments they shared. Over the years they moved from place to place until they were able to purchase their first condo. From the very beginning, Andrea’s beloved black cat, Molly, was there to witness their journey. Molly quickly welcomed him with the same quiet trust and love she had always given Andrea. Along the way, their little family grew as they adopted two more cats, Ash and Calcifer, filling their lives with even more love (and touch of chaos.) Every year, Andrea and Nick made it a tradition to travel, sometimes across the country, sometimes across the world, collecting memories and experiences that continue to deepen their bond.
