We kindly ask guests to avoid bringing cash or gifts to the newlyweds at the wedding. Instead, we recommend using Venmo or giving cash or gifts in person to the couple prior to traveling. This helps ensure the safety of any gifts. Thank you for understanding!
Sunday, June 15th. Please RSVP online.
We would love to see our guests dress to impress! A European wedding calls for bold attire. We encourage Black-Tie attire: Wear floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses, suits or tuxes with neckties or bowties. We hope for sunshine, and know we can expect hot weather! Ladies should bring a shawl for the ceremony in the cathedral, as this is a traditional value in Europe.
Please check that your passport is not expired! Note, an enhanced license is not accepted as a document to travel to Europe.
During August, Sicily enjoys high temperatures with an average daily temperature ranging from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius (77 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit). Inland areas tend to be slightly hotter than coastal regions due to the absence of sea breezes.
While there is no Uber, private drivers, and taxis are available as well as public transportation. NOTE: if you are planning on renting a car and driving in Sicily, make sure you have an international license. What is this? No worries, this is just a paper license that any AAA will give you upon request for +/- $20.
Yes! Ferragosto is Friday, August 15th and is a famous public holiday in Italy where everyone celebrates at the beach and towns are empty and shops are closed. The only thing allowed that day is to relax, and take the day off. Read all about it: https://carpediemtours.com/blog/what-is-ferragosto-italys-ancient-tradition-explained/
Unfortunately, while we never hope it is the case, it could be possible that a luggage gets lost! As this could happen with any traveling. Make sure you have a change of clothes, and any necessities in a carry on. Another helpful tip is to have what you intend on wearing for the wedding day in that carry-on JUST incase.
