A Love from Above

When our lives crossed and love became evident, a Happily Ever After ending was Inevitable. My Lady in Waiting, Nicole Grier, took me to Shannon's House back the end of 2009 first of 2010. Even though I had been to one of his famous backyard parties years before, it did not register until later. Once Nicole took me to his house and we were introduced that was the start of it all. Shannon came into my line while at the Teeter, which was my part time when I wasn't driving for big brown and it was over from there. He took my number and I cannot tell what was next. Over the years with lots of hits and misses and shared poetry, Cupid struck us both in the heart. They always say when a woman knows, she knows. After Dinner at Dresslers, we took a walk along the Greenway. There is a fountain there which Shannon and I have both jumped in on one of our late night walks after cocktails. Of course, Shannon being Shannon, he acted as if something had crawled by me on the bench I was sitting on. This, of course, caused hysteria within me. In actuality, my waiting was over. Five years in the game Shannon decided it was time to stop playing house. There on the bench at the Greenway was this beautiful heart shaped diamond. He asked while on one knee, mind you he was on concrete. While I was admiring the diamond, he reminded me he was old and still down on one knee on the concrete, and then I accepted. LOL. To God be the Glory, the wait was over. This will be the wedding you do not want to miss!
