This is where we got engaged! It is about a 30 minute ride from the venue. Cost of admission is about $5.
In many ways, Park Ave is the best Orlando has to offer. Some of the best galleries, cafes, and restaurants are here.
There is a good farmers market on Sunday, and usually a free outdoor yoga class at 11 AM. This park is famous for the large swans that inhabit its shores. Very close to downtown, and several eateries and coffee shops are close by. You can rent paddle boats if you want to go full tourista.
Winter Park, a quaint town located just 20 minutes from Orlando, is one of the most scenic small towns in America. One of the top attractions in town is the Scenic Boat Tour, a daily 1 hour narrated tour through the Winter Park Chain of Lakes. This leisurely ride lets you feast your eyes on some spectacular local scenery, including views of extravagant waterfront mansions, lush greenery, and plenty of wildlife. (forgive us, we cut and pasted this) ;)
Believe it or not, this is where President Richard Nixon blurted out, "I am not a crook". There is a phenominal sushi restaurant called California Grill on the top floor with an excellent view of Disney's nightly fireworks, and the monorail runs right through the lobby. A fun, free (until they get you with the drinks) thing to do is ride the monorail system around the Disney hotels, and just walk around the pools and lobbies, get a drink, relax, people watch.
If you like Tiffany glass (hey, who doesn't?) this is the place for you. World's largest collection. Plenty of other trinkets, goo-gaws and fineries to make this stop well worth the $1 price of admission (literally).
A bit of a drive from the venue, but stunning nature in its most pristine condition.
This is a bit of a drive, about an hour each way from the venue. But, it is a unique Central Florida attraction. Plus, there won't be any lines or overpriced parking lots.
Sometimes, you eat the bar. And sometimes the bar...Well, he eats you.
They still have glass bottom boat rides here. Probably Florida's oldest tourist attraction!
On Saturday morning only, shop from local Central Florida vendors. Pro tip: get there early, and get a bagel from inside.
