Where can I park at the church?
Answer
There is a multi-story car park on West Park road: (https://visitharrogate.co.uk/business-directory/west-park-car-parks) There is limited parking on streets around the area and may require a parking disc. These can be found behind the Waitrose on South Park Road and Victoria Avenue.
Question
How will the day go?
Answer
We will meet at the Church in Harrogate for 11:30 with the ceremony beginning at 12:00. Then make your way to Thirsk Lodge Barns where there will be drinks and canapes and time to catch up. Dinner will begin with speeches at 16:00 followed by cake cutting and first dance at 19:00 (these will be separate activities other wise it may get dangerous and/or messy). Ceilidh to begin after the first dance so bring some comfy shoes. Evening food will be served at 20:30 during a pause in the dancing. End of the dancing and time to take a breath 23:30! Carriages will be at 00:00. We ask that you avoid falling in any bushes, if this does happen please send up an orange distress flare and rescue will be dispatched.

What is a Ceilidh?
Answer
The word Ceilidh is Scottish Gaelic for a social gathering or party! Contemporary use of the term refers to a Gaelic Folk Dance. This is being led by Fiddlers Wreck a three piece Ceilidh band. These can get quite fast and energetic so bring some comfy shoes!

What if i have never danced a Ceilidh before?
Answer
Have no fear! Fiddlers Wreck are fantastic at directing and teaching you how to dance! The moves are simple and it doesn't matter if you get it wrong.

Formal attire- as long as you are comfy and can enjoy the day.
