When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Where do I park?

Answer

Parking at the venue is very limited, so we have reserved an offsite parking lot for those wishing to drive in to Penn Yan. From there, the shuttles will take you to Crispin Hill. The lot's address is: 1930 Pre-Emption Rd, Penn Yan, NY 14525. Note: the parking lot belongs to Dr. Meredyth McMichael, but we have reserved the whole lot for our event.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but due to limited capacity at the wedding venue, we are unable to host children at the wedding with the exception of immediate family. Kids are welcome at the farewell breakfast the next morning though, so we'd love to see them then!

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

The attire for the wedding day is summer formal. For the ladies, dresses/skirts/pants should be knee-length or longer. For men, lightweight suits are appropriate (tie-optional). We encourage everyone to break out their lighter colors and floral print apparel, though this is completely optional! We only ask that you not wear white ;)

Can I take pictures with my phone or camera during the wedding?

Answer

We respectfully request no devices during the ceremony. We've hired a wonderful photographer and want to ensure we can see everyone's beautiful faces. At the reception, you may take as many pictures as you’d like!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors. The reception dinner will be in a tent, and guests will move into the large barn adjacent to the tent for dancing.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Upstate NY can have unpredictable weather! During the day, the weather in August will be warm (70-85 degrees), but it may get chilly at night. Lake weather also tends to run on the breezier side, so bring some warm layers for the evening.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! There are ramps to take for wheelchairs. There will also be a golf cart available to assist people between the ceremony and reception area if needed.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.
