Wedding Party

Meet the friends and family we are honored to have as a part of our ceremony!

Camie Collett

Maid of Honor

Gracie turned my world upside down when I first met her as a baby. Growing up as Gracie’s 2nd big sister, I always thought of her as a menace who would purposefully copy me and antagonize me. But after having to share everything with her for 18 years I actually began to like her! Gracie and I became friends when I was in high school. We did everything together and ended up kind of living the dream. I loved drinking coffee with her, watching all the chick flicks, working together, constantly chatting, driving her all over (I was a pretty cool sister), and being able to live life together. Gracie is a joy to have as a sister. Throughout all the dramatic fights and movie nights she had become my best friend. David has been such a sweet addition to Gracie’s life. He and Gracie do a an incredible job balancing each other out. I can’t wait to have David as a brother-in-law. Gracie and David’s wedding will be such a sweet event.

Alex Win

Best Man

David and I met in middle school band when our teacher sat us next to each other on a bus. With his last name Nguyen and mine Win, our teacher immediately called it a “Nguyen-Win Situation,” and somehow that turned into a lifelong friendship. David’s been like my brother for a long time and my go to adventure buddy. We’ve skydived together, snowboarded together, and road tripped together, surviving more close calls than either of us ever felt the need to react to. If something went wrong, we usually just looked at each other, nodded, and kept moving. I’m incredibly honored to stand by David’s side as his best man and couldn’t be happier for him as he starts this next chapter with his beautiful bride to be, Grace.

Jackie Brennan

Bridesmaid

Grace came in to my world under quite interesting circumstances. At just the age of 7, I witnessed her birth first hand. Not everyone can say they have seen their baby sister’s placenta! Throughout our childhood, I have to admit that I was always jealous of Grace. She was gregarious, always surrounded by friends and of course had beautiful blonde hair. I vividly remember the day she got bangs—I was so jealous because she looked so good and I knew I would never compare. Grace has blossomed into her role as a young adult and soon to be married woman. To top off her basically perfect life, David is her ideal match in every way. I am so excited to be apart of their wedding!

Nick Shaw

Groomsman

I got to meet David and Grace in Cru at Cal Poly Pomona. Since meeting them, I’ve had the privilege of seeing their relationship mature and grow. I’ve gotten to know David specifically as a roommate in two different houses. One in Montclair, and the other now in Covina. During the time that I have gotten to know these two amazing people, I have seen how much effort, love, care and intentionality that they put into pursuing each other. Seeing them watch movies sharing thoughts, playing games, making dinner, talk about future plans all while making each other laugh and each other joyful beyond words has been so meaningful. I cannot wait to see these two people get married and be together for the rest of their lives, because they are just so right for each other.

Hannah Zell-Kim

Bridesmaid

Grace is one of my dearest friends, and I’m beyond excited to celebrate this next season of her life! We met in college through a campus ministry called Cru and eventually ended up living together for a year and a half, so I’ve gotten to see all her little quirks up close and love them all. Over the past four years, I’ve had the joy of adventuring through life with Grace, whether it was our spontaneous trips to Lake Tahoe, Big Bear, or Seattle, or simply doing everyday life together. I’ve seen her in both the joyful and hard moments, and it’s been such a gift to walk alongside her. Grace is someone who loves deeply. She shows it best through her passion for cooking and baking (trust me, her food is made with love). We’ve bonded over our shared love of thrifting, coffee, and hosting parties with our amazing roomies. I feel so blessed to witness Grace step into this beautiful new chapter as she marries David—and I’m thrilled to officially welcome her to the wifey club with me!

Jackson Zell-Kim

Groomsman

Hello! I’m Jackson and I’ve been good friends with David since our freshman year of college at Cal Poly Pomona. Fun fact: we are each other’s longest college friends! I later met Grace when she started attending CPP and became good friends with her as well. It is a blessing to have meaningful relationships with both Grace and David as individuals, and to also have so many fun stories and adventures with them as a couple. Some facts about me: I love doing puzzles and am really into movies and tv shows. Please ask me why I think Toy Story 3 is the greatest movie of all time. I’m so grateful to be in David and Grace’s lives and can’t wait to be by their side as they enter this exciting new chapter of marriage!

Alyssa Valdez

Bridesmaid

Grace and I first met through our college ministry, Cru, but our relationship really took off when we moved in together two years ago. I had been friends with David for a while, and when Grace came into the picture I got to see their love bloom from the very beginning. Since then, life together has looked like non-stop yapping, rom com marathons, baking all kinds of bread, laughing over sweet treats, and finding ways to invite people over to our house. Through living together, we have grown in so many ways I will always treasure. Grace has always been a burst of sunshine in my life and is one of my safest, most cherished people. She consistently shows up for everyone around her, and her love for David is inspiring in the way it’s full of laughter, care, and loyalty. Our friendship is built on caring deeply and creating spaces where people feel welcomed, seen, and at home. I just love her so much, and I’m so honored to stand by her side on her special day as she marries the love of her life.

Casey Pua

Groomsman

Hello everyone my name is Casey, and I’m super excited to finally see the marriage of David and Grace. I’ve known David since my freshman year in college, where we met at Cru, and have been roommates with him for the past 2 years. I met Grace my third year and every moment with both David and Grace has been an amazing and unforgettable experience. Getting able to see their relationship blossom from the start has truly been a blessing and I can’t wait to see the future for Mr and Mrs Nguyen!

Ella Ramos

Bridesmaid

I met when Grace originally when I was her Bible study leader, and neither of us imagined our relationship would grow beyond that. But when I found myself in need of a place to live, God clearly had other plans. Living together brought us closer than I really would have ever expected. For the first time, we felt like equals instead of a freshman and her study leader. I started to see Grace in a new light and we bonded over our shared love of food, hosting, and all things crunchy. Living with her for as long as I have has been a huge blessing, and I have a special place in my heart for sweet Gracie!! It’s truly been a privilege watching Grace grow from an 18-year-old fresh out of homeschool into the kind, gracious, and generous woman she is today. I am endlessly proud of her and feel so special that she asked me to stand beside her on her special day!

Temesghen Ghebreyesus

Groomsman

I had the chance to meet David and Grace at Cal Poly and have witnessed their relationship grow in the years since. The years spent as David's friend and, more recently, his roommate, have shown me firsthand the care and intentionality he puts into his relationship with Grace and his friends. From suffering through colds with ramen bowls to yelling at each other over board games, every moment I've spent with David has been memorable. There's no shortage of new experiences and fun memories when being with David and Grace, and I look forward to celebrating the memories yet to be made at their wedding and marriage.

Andrea Tai

Bridesmaid

A friendship that has consisted of double dates, gilmore girls marathons, and pumpkin patch experiences all started when I met Grace my junior year of college when she stepped in as a freshman at Cal Poly Pomona. One of the first conversations I remember having with her was about her deciding whether she wanted to join a sorority. Little did she know she would jump right into campus ministry with me and our friendship would grow from there. After meeting David, we bonded over our boyfriends living together as we always infiltrated their home and made our presence known whether the house full of men liked it or not. Through many thrift adventures, living together for a short couple of months, and eating whatever she baked me, Grace has been such a generous and thoughtful friend. I've loved doing life with her and am so excited to see her marry David watching their relationship from the very start. Just so everyone is aware, in the early days, when Grace went to "study" with David, we all knew it was much more than that, hence me, writing on this wedding website 4 years later.

Colby Tai

Groomsman

Heyo, I’m Colby Tai! I first met David at Cal Poly Pomona when he was a freshman and I was a sophomore through Cru. We would talk about music and guitar gear, and we both served on the Cru worship team together. Through the pandemic, David and I stayed in touch since he and my wife, Andrea, were leaders for Cru at the time, and I would help with music when I could. When things were back to normal, David and I moved in together with a few other college friends. We spent a lot of time hanging out, watching "Nacho Libre", going on double dates, and playing music together. These days, you’ll now find us hanging out at the golf range, still going on double dates, or spending time together when our significant others don’t want us around. David is one of the funniest guys I know, and he cares so deeply about those around him. I’m excited for this new season of his and Grace’s life as they build it together!

Dulce Jurado

Bridesmaid

Grace Fisher is a one-of-a-kind soul made up of the greatest kindness, strength, and generosity our Lord could ever create. She is sweeter than the amazing chocolate chip cookies she makes. Being roommates this past year has allowed me to grow a deeper friendship with Grace than when we first met in college and went through discipleship together. I'm very grateful for the opportunity and know the Lord put Grace in everyone's life for a reason. I love the laughter and the deep talks we share. She knows exactly when to be a friend and when to give comfort and support at the lowest points of my days. As she begins this beautiful new chapter with David, I wish them a lifetime filled with love, faith, and endless joy. May their marriage be rooted in God’s grace, strengthened through every season, and filled with the same warmth and light that Grace brings to everyone around her. I am so grateful to celebrate this moment with them and can’t wait to see all the wonderful memories they will create together!

Cole Pickett

Groomsman

My name is Cole Pickett, and I grew up in Simi Valley. I met David back in middle school, and since then, we’ve been close friends through high school, college, and all the chapters that followed. Over the years, we’ve stayed connected by our shared love of tennis, music, and trying out a good brew whenever we get the chance. Today, I’m a high school math teacher, and I’m incredibly grateful to still have David and Grace as such close friends after all these years. Watching their journey together has been a joy, and I’m honored to be part of this celebration with them.

Riley Guevara

Bridesmaid

I met Grace at Cal Poly Pomona during freshman year in Cru! I still remember her coming to the meeting with her braided-bun hairstyle and blue backpack. We connected, and she always drove me around to study at cafes or go to fun events! While I was going through a hard time, Grace was always there for me and surrounded me with support and love, so I never felt alone. I remember her talking about David and how she was developing a relationship with him. Although I couldn't make it to the Halloween party that year, I remember hearing from my other friends how funny he was, and they could tell she really liked him. Over the years, Grace and I have stayed in contact despite our distance and when she asked me to be her bridesmaid, I couldn't be happier! I am so happy for Grace and David and can't wait to see their journey continue!

David Hayden

Groomsman

Hey there, I’m the other David. I met this David back in fourth grade, when he completely ruined my reputation as the only David at our elementary school. Despite that early rivalry, we became close friends in middle and high school through camping trips, beach days, and plenty of Mario Party nights. Since Grace came into his life, both she and David have been incredible friends to me and my wife, Megan. We’re so excited to celebrate their wedding and feel lucky to share many more years together, as lifelong friends, and soon, married couples.
