My "not so little" little sister. I remember when she used to look up to me for style advice, and now she is the fashionista. Anyone who knows us, knows that we don't get along, hardly ever. But even though it doesn't seem like it, she shows her love in little ways - weirdo. She's always there when it's important, and as a big sister, I will forever look out for her. Like that time I went ghetto-baby-girl on her bully's ass. Yes, Jen brings out the sides of me no one else knows. We'll eventually learn to love each other like we don't hate each other ;) Love you my little heo map.

Nissa Vang

Nissa, the first friend I made in Blaine. I was the lonely, new Asian girl in middle school lost in the hallways in between classes. She was the first Asian girl I saw so I asked her for directions. Thanks to having similar classes and lunch schedules, we eventually became friends. She taught me her non-ghetto ways and changed my life. Even through middle school, high school, college, and despite the lack of communication, we're still friends! Nissa is the fashionista goddess and my skin-care guru. She is effortlessly beautiful, but somehow only attracts the weirdos. Maybe because she is a weirdo herself. Fellas, she's SINGLE. Heyyyy. I love you, Nissa!

Kieu! One of the few friends I've made outside of high school. It only took me about 3 years to really warm up to her. Apparently, she was scared that I wouldn't like her when we first met. I don't know why, as Kieu is one of the best human beings I know! She is kind, sympathetic, a great listener, and just plain amazing. She is the big sister I never had. Any questions I have about anything, she has the answers to. We can talk hours on end about everything. Whenever I need to vent, or need someone to talk to, she is my go to person because she is a great listener and always gives the best advice, my shoulder to lean on. I love you, Kieu!

Sabrina was my first best friend in Blaine. I remember we did EVERYTHING together. She was probably the only friend that I used to hang out with one-on-one and was not weirded out, though she was a weird one... We laughed about everything and I mean everything. Just one look and we would breakout in laughter. And boy were we inseparable. I understood her, even with all her code language and accents. I'd like to think that I was the person that contaminated her innocent persona. But she definitely impacted me as a person and made my high school years one of the best. I love you, Bre!

Hlee Yang

Where do I start with Hlee... I say all my friends are weird, but she may be the coolest weirdo. I met Hlee through Nissa (I believe), we sat at the same lunch table in middle school. I love Hlee and how she isn't afraid to be weird and do all the things she wants. After high school, she moved to New York on her own, where she turned into a fashionista. Damn... all my friends have a great sense of style... Where's mine? Anyways, we don't keep in touch a lot, but the friendship is rekindled every time we see each other and it's filled with endless laughter and dirty jokes. She's one of the few that understands me. I love you, Hlee!

Tammy! I've known Tammy since forever, there wasn't a time in the Dau family before her. Haha, jk. But that's how long I've known her. Although she is quiet, Tammy is hilarious and is the most loving, and nurturing person I know. But don't let looks deceive you, Tammy can party, haha. Now that I think about it, we have a lot in common. We both love food, cooking, and we're both introverts, but blossom when we're surrounded by the people we love. She is the first person to show me what love really means. To care and think about someone, even when it's difficult. Tammy, I love you!

Saved the best for last, Maily! Maily is a character that brings out the fun in everyone! She is one of the other few friends I've made outside of high school. As of now, I haven't asked her to be my bridesmaid yet, so I hope she says yes or this will be awkward... thankfully Maily knows how to turn any awkward situation around and is the life of the party. My own personal makeup artist and hair stylist, she is a diva and I love it. Maily is a fun, loving, care-free spirit who is not afraid to speak her mind. My date when the boys only want to talk football.. I can't wait for you to be my hype woman! I love you, Maily!
