Please note: to ensure the health & safety of all our guests, our wedding venue requires that all guests ages 18+ be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination. Please be prepared to attest on behalf of your party's COVID-19 vaccination status in your RSVP response. We understand that this situation may make your attendance of our wedding in-person impossible and this deeply saddens us because we love you and will miss you. We appreciate your cooperation and your health is our number one priority.

Ngân and Steven met at the Ascend Leadership Conference in June 2014 at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco. They were both representatives from the accounting firms where they worked at the time. He was setting up the booth for his company, a small boutique firm, when all of a sudden an extremely well put together Senior Accountant at Ernst and Young came up and approached him. She asked, “Hey, you’re cute. What does your company do? Can I have a brochure?” He said, “Of course, here’s a brochure, a pamphlet, a pen and my business card so you can call me later ;)” and with a subtle wink, they went their separate ways. Okay, so that's not exactly how the dialogue went. After some small talk at the conference, Ngân learned that Steven studied Business at USF and she named the 3 other USF alums she knew. To their surprise and delight, those were all Steven's roommates, what a small world! Turns out, back in the college days, she even partied at the infamous #22nd apartment and never crossed paths with Steven... EXCEPT a brief encounter that they later realized of when on a random summer night while Ngân and her friends overstayed their welcome watching TV downstairs, Steven with work early the next morning, came down and yelled at them to turn down the volume. Ngân had no idea that the man behind the mysterious voice would one day become the love of her life. Then flashforward 6 months later in November 2014, on a random Monday, he texted her out of the blue asking how she was doing. After a string of unsuccessful coffee meets bagel dates at the time, Ngân was intrigued to get a text from the cute guy from the conference. They went on their first date which was a hike on the Berkeley Fire Trail and the rest is history. Eight years later, they still enjoy hiking in nature together and Steven still yells at Ngân to turn down the volume when she stays up late netflix binging LOL.
