Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be seated by 10:45AM. The ceremony will start promptly at 11:00AM.

Question

What should I expect for the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be held in a Catholic church with a Catholic mass held by Father Paul. All are welcome! If you are not Catholic, you are 100% welcome to participate and can follow the cues provided by Father Paul and other members of the audience.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Attire is semi-formal to formal attire throughout all our events. Western, Vietnamese, and Filipino attire are all appropriate.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is ample parking at both our ceremony (All Saints Catholic Church) and reception (The Oregon Golf Club) locations. If desired, you are welcome to park overnight at The Oregon Golf Club and pick up your car the day after.

Question

What should I do in between the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour/reception?

Answer

Whatever you'd like! This is free time for you to wander Portland, grab lunch, or even take a nap before our nighttime celebration. For suggestions on what to check out in Portland, take a look at our "Things To Do" page.

Question

Do I have to arrive right on time for cocktail hour?

Answer

Our outdoor cocktail hour is a leisurely time during which alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages as well as hor d'ourves/light bites will be served. Please arrive at your convenience; just make sure to arrive in time for dinner starting at 5PM.

Question

What kind of food will be available?

Answer

Dinner will be served buffet style. Vegetarian options are available. Food ingredients will be listed on the placards. Please reach out to Nga or Jeremy directly if you have specific food allergies or dietary restrictions that need to be accommodated.

Question

What should I expect for the wedding reception?

Answer

Be prepared to enjoy our indoor dinner buffet as well as a night of music and dancing. The night will also include a lion dance by the White Lotus Dragon & Lion Dance performing arts group during which the couple is blessed with good fortune and prosperity -- feel free to "feed" the lion with small cash donations to show your appreciation to the lion as it makes it's way around the room! In addition, the couple will make their way across the room for the traditional "Chào Bàn" or table greetings to each table; this is the time to present your well wishes & red envelopes to the couple. Keep an eye out also for the late night snacks if you get hungry after dinner!

Question

Is there transportation available after the reception?

Answer

Lyfts and Ubers can be called directly from the reception site. If you drove a car and are unable to drive home after the reception, The Oregon Golf Club allows cars to remain parked at their site overnight. If you are having any troubles with transportation, please feel free to reach out to Nga or Jeremy directly, and we will arrange a ride home for you!
