Officiant
Matt “owes pretty much [his] entire functional adult life to the inspiration of [his] older brother” - his words. No, he super didn’t say that, but I’m sure he’s thought it at one point or another. After a standardly contentious childhood sibling relationship, Michael and Matthew have developed a strong and wonderful friendship, and Matt’s support for both the bride and groom led to an easy decision as to who should lead their way into married life. Since he's just celebrated his own wedding in April, we're all looking forward to a slew of “as a married man…” jokes at the wedding.
Maid of Honor
Sara and Elena met at school where the fates assigned them as roommates. Their forever-friendship formed over baked brie and Dominoes while nerding out to the "American Idiot" soundtrack, which they would often listen to in its entirety while dancing/singing along to the original Broadway choreography. No, they are not embarrassed. They are total opposites in some ways and exactly the same in others, but the #1 thing they have in common is their undying love for each other.
Best Man
Although Danny is the person on this list that the groom has known the longest (including his brother, so suck it, Matt), they still barely missed being friends since birth after being born just four days apart in the same hospital. Three years wasted, but since that first day of preschool, Michael and Danny have been inseparable. Probably they’re going to make you all watch their "Copacabana" performance at the wedding.
Bridesmaid
Both the bride and groom met Emily while working at the Roxy Regional Theatre in Clarksville, TN. Emily and Elena's friendship thickened before they ever realized it was happening as they shared the stage as turkeys, show girls, tap dancing knights, town's people, and ballerinas. Though the Mason Dixon separates them, no distance is a match for their endless love for one another. Puerto Rico & Mexico forever.
Groomsman
It’s not often people go from complete strangers to best friends, but this was pretty close to that. Theater camp, countless mutual friends, and seemingly unreachably high expectations paid off in a big way, and these two have been sharing adventures since high school - and still do today in NYC, where they live just two blocks apart.
Bridesmaid
Cara and Elena were not fast friends. They overcame a very serious, very high school feud (fawning over the same boy, gasp!) before realizing that they were destined to be life-long friends. They still love and cherish that boy (looking at you, Ryan) and have spent their friendship sharing wine, laughs, and belting their faces off to "In His Eyes".
Groomsman
Both known for their unbelievable dance prowess, it’s only logical that Ben and Michael met in the acclaimed Teen Actorsingers’ inaugural production of "West Side Story", and have mamboed their way to a lifelong friendship. Mostly, now they just talk about baseball, but it’s obscenely often for grown men, so their friendship thrives despite the distance.
Bridesman
Some friendships take time to form and blossom. This is not one of them. Joey and Elena met in high school while performing in LYT's production of "Into The Woods". During a dinner break from rehearsal, Joey sat down next to Elena and they spent that meal together. They have been friends ever since. Since that fateful day, they have taken many road trips, belted many show tunes, and made just about every "Friends" reference there is to make.
Groomsman
Turns out, the bride has a pretty cool brother, so the groom is rolling the dice on him and bringing him up to the big leagues. So far, Michael and Kyle’s relationship has consisted primarily of drinking on the beach in Mexico, so if that's any indication of what's in store, no complaints. Here’s to keeping that up.
Bridesmaid
As cousins, Margo and Elena grew up together. They spent family functions by each other's side, summers in Cape Cod painting their nails every color of the rainbow and watching movies, and the day after Christmases exchanging gifts, and sharing bagels and stories. They revealed first crushes, practiced flirting (secretly, and from afar!) with dreamy lifeguards, and learned how to be people by each other's side.
Ring Bearer
Heidi is, in a word, perfect. She is the bride and groom's fur-child and ring bearer. She is a 7-year-old floofball full of love, happiness, and kisses. Interests include food, sleeping, food, going for walks, playing with her toys, food, cuddling, and food.
Flower Girl
The bride and groom are so lucky to have such a wonderful flower girl by their sides! As bridesmaid Cara's daughter, Celia is intelligent, creative, beautiful, thoughtful, full of energy, a little star in the making, and exactly the type of little human you want paving the way for this new generation! (Can you tell the bride wrote this?)
