The Beach
It is a beach wedding, after all! And no one beaches like us. Soak up the last rays of summer and get a little tan on before the big day. For guests staying at The Grand Hotel, beach passes are included in your stay. One of our favorite things is also a morning beach walk, Cape May has a whole walking path on the beach if you want to get your steps in with a view!
Congress Hall
All roads lead to Congress Hall! America’s first seaside resort (since 1816) and Cape May’s most iconic hotel. Stop by for a drink on the oceanfront lawn or at The Brown Room (great dirty martinis 🍸), brunch at Blue Pig Tavern, or pizza downstairs at The Boiler Room. This is where we got engaged 🤍
Washington Street Mall
A great place to go for a stroll, with tons of cute shops, coffee spots, and restaurants. Alyssa’s favorite stop is The Cheese Shop, while Mike’s is Beef Jerky Experience—both always have samples to try.
Cape May Winery & Vineyard
Our favorite winery down the shore. Kid & dog friendly.
Cape May Brewing Co. Tasting Room & Brewtique
We like to post up at the brewery for a fun afternoon filled with beer flights. Try the Tan Limes. Also you can order food to the brewery if you're hungry.
Taco Caballito Tequileria
Fun and lively beachfront tequileria with great tacos and margs. Our favorite tacos are the coconut shrimp tacos!
Tisha's Fine Dining
One of our favorite restaurants located right on Washington Street Mall. Bring your own bottle of wine and enjoy their delicious food. Get the lobster bisque!
Ugly Mug Bar & Restaurant
Mike's favorite local watering hole. Stop in to grab a beer and see how it got its name.
Ebbitt Room
Our favorite restaurant in Cape May for a nicer dinner. Also great for grabbing a before or after dinner cocktail on their wrap around front porch.
The Mad Batter Restaurant & Bar
The best brunch spot in Cape May. Get the Chesapeake Bay benedict or the cream chipped beef!
