Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We’re looking forward to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we’re keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

For our special day, unless specifically noted, we’ve decided to keep our wedding adults only. Invitations addressed to the entire family include children in the celebration. We hope everyone else will take this as a chance for a fun date night out!

Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes! We’re thrilled to be celebrating the entire day at The Homestead 1854. The ceremony begins at 5:00 PM and will flow right into cocktail hour and the reception, no venue hopping required!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We can’t wait to see everyone dressed to celebrate! Please wear semi-formal attire. Since our wedding will be both indoors and outdoors, we recommend wedges or comfortable shoes - there may be some uneven ground. Dress to impress, but also to roam!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm, please arrive no later than 4:50pm or you will sadly miss out on our ceremony.

Will the wedding be held outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The entire celebration will take place outdoors. The ceremony will be held in a beautiful garden, cocktail hour will flow between the front yard and inside the Homestead mansion, and the reception will be outdoors under a covered pavilion.

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! A shuttle will be transporting guests from the Hampton Inn in Yorkville starting at 4:00PM. It will make three pickup rounds, so you’ll have plenty of time to catch a ride to the venue stress-free.

Where is the parking located?

Answer

Parking is located directly behind the venue and will be clearly labeled when you arrive. From there, it’s just a short walk to the ceremony space.
