FAQs

If you have any additional questions please contact Kayla Grimes (209) 896-6175.
Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses and gentlemen should wear a suit or slacks & dress shirt with a tie if you choose. Please bring a sweater or jacket as it may get chilly at night. We hope this is a fun excuse to get out of those comfy pajamas you've been wearing all of Quarantine!

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in the Hidden Forest. There will be signs to direct you to park or if you are staying at the hotel and prefer to catch a ride on the shuttle, the shuttle will drop you off at the ceremony entrance. The reception will be just up the pathway from the forest. Both events are completely outside. Refer to the map enclosed with your invites. There is no cell service so we won't know if you get lost on your way; probably best to just take the shuttle we have arranged from Oakhurst.

Question

Can we take and post photos and videos?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep your phones and cameras in your pocket for the ceremony. We have hired some very talented photographers & videographers and we want them to be able to capture our ceremony without any phones ruining the photos. After the ceremony feel free to take and post as many photos as you would like using the hashtag #NewleyNielson (once you get cell service again).

Question

Are Kids Allowed?

Answer

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have had to limit our guest count. Therefore, the only kids allowed will be either our bridal party's children or immediate family (nieces, young cousins). So enjoy this night off from the kids and lets have fun!

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

Your RSVP card will let you know how many seats we have reserved for you/your family. We spent a lot of time on our guest list and due to Covid restrictions, we did have to cut it down significantly. We want to celebrate our wedding day with our closest family and friends.

Question

Can I Leave My Car Overnight?

Answer

YES! If you end up having a few drinks, we would love for you to take the arranged shuttle back to your hotel. Vehicles are welcome to stay overnight but they must be picked up by 10 am on Sunday, August 1, 2021.

Question

Can I Bring My Children

Answer

We have decided to limit children invited to immediate family and bridal party only. Due to safety restrictions in place, we are unable to accommodate children outside of our immediate family and bridal party.
