Question

Why Costa Rica?

Answer

We wanted a wedding celebration that would provide an intimate and memorable experience with our family and friends. Out of all our adventures, Costa Rica is special to us. Rather than deciding between a mountain or a beach setting, we found an ideal location that has the best of both worlds and located right in-between the East and West coast! With its friendly people, lush jungles, diverse wildlife, turquoise waters, golden sand beaches, and a variety of outdoorsy activities, Costa Rica is the ultimate destination wedding getaway we envisioned. Pura Vida.

Question

When is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

June 1, 2022

Question

How soon should I book my travel?

Answer

As early as possible! It's recommended to book international flights, specifically to Central America, two to three months in advance. Note: Hopper predicts an increase in international airfare as we move through 2022 — about 5% per month through June. We recommend getting your flights and accommodation booked by July.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Daily high temperatures are around 77°F, rarely falling below 74°F or exceeding 81°F. Daily low temperatures are around 63°F, rarely falling below 61°F or exceeding 66°F. It's considered Costa Rica's rainy season, so sunny in the mornings with afternoon showers.

Question

Can I bring an additional guest(s) and/or children?

Answer

Due to the limit at our venue, we will not be able to accommodate any guests not listed on the RSVP.

Question

Is there an official daily itinerary or schedule?

Answer

We expect to adventure out on a couple excursions/activities during our time in Costa Rica. We'd love for you to join us, however feel free to explore the region on your own or with friends. This is your vacation as well! Keep an eye out for updates to the schedule on this website, and RSVP where requested.

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Costa Rica?

Answer

Yes, you need a valid passport to travel to Costa Rica. Make sure your passport will not expire within 6 months of your departure from the US or it may not be accepted by foreign customs.

Question

Is USD accepted?

Answer

Yes, in fact USD is commonly used in Costa Rica. However if you pay with USD, you will receive the change in colones -- so it's best to bring smaller bills. $100 bills are not accepted widely and please make sure you do not bring worn or torn bills, as they will not be accepted either.

Question

COVID Safety and Regulations

Answer

The CDC and Costa Rica gov't are constantly changing their requirements for international travel. As of March 2022, per the CDC, the United States Department of State requires you to have a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of re-entry into the United States. Beginning April 1, 2022, the Health Pass and travel insurance policy requirements will be eliminated for all individuals flying into Costa Rica. However, a travel insurance policy is recommended to cover medical expenses and lodging in the event of COVID-19 infection. We will update you with the latest requirements a month prior to travel.
