The Wedding Website of Emily Newcomer and Tyler McNerney
Our beautiful venue, Chestnut Ridge, is located in Canton, North Carolina — just 25 minutes from downtown Asheville. We’ll be providing buses to transport guests to and from the venue, with convenient pick-up and drop-off locations in downtown Asheville. We’ve reserved a hotel block at the Moxy Hotel and the Aloft in Downtown Asheville (linked below). Staying downtown ensures you’ll be close to the shuttle pickup, as well as Asheville’s best restaurants, breweries, and shops. Please note that the Moxy room block is now sold out, though rooms remain available on their website. For those looking for other options, there are plenty of Airbnbs and nearby hotels in the downtown area. We recommend booking early, as accommodations tend to fill quickly!

Hotel

Aloft Asheville Downtown

51 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

We've added a 2nd room block and this hotel is right next door to the Moxy! Same as the Moxy, our group rate applies only to Friday and Saturday night. If you’d like to arrive early or stay longer, book the available nights through our link first, then contact the Aloft Hotel directly to add extra dates. The block will be released after May 6, 2026, so we recommend booking early to secure the discounted rate.

Travel Note

Flight Information

The closest airport to Asheville is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), located just 25 minutes from downtown and most hotels, including The Moxy. We recommend booking flights early, as summer weekends in Asheville tend to fill quickly. For guests traveling from New York City or Upstate New York, there are direct flights from Newark (EWR) on United Airlines, along with convenient one-stop options from NYC, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo via Charlotte (CLT) or Atlanta (ATL). If you’re flying from elsewhere, Asheville is also easily accessible from nearby airports including Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP), about 1.5 hours away, and Charlotte Douglas (CLT) or Knoxville (TYS), both roughly 2 hours away. If you plan to explore the area or extend your stay, we recommend renting a car — it’s the best way to take in the mountain views, local breweries, and scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
