Question

How should I travel to Asheville?

Answer

For our NYC & Upstate NY guests The easiest way to reach Asheville is to fly into Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) - just 25 minutes from downtown and most hotels. We recommend booking flights early, as they tend to fill up quickly for summer weekends. There are direct flights from Newark (EWR) and LaGuardia (LGA), as well as convenient one-stop options from Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo via Charlotte (CLT) or Atlanta (ATL). If you prefer a road trip, Asheville is roughly a 10–13 hour drive, depending on your starting point. The route winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and makes for a beautiful summer drive if you’re up for it. For guests traveling from other areas, Asheville is also easy to reach from several nearby airports: Asheville Regional (AVL) ~25 minutes from downtown Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP) ~1.5 hours away Charlotte Douglas (CLT) ~2 hours away Knoxville (TYS) ~2 hours away

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve reserved room blocks at both the Moxy and Aloft hotels for your convenience. Booking details and links can be found on the Travel tab of our website. Please note that these two hotels are attached, making it easy to stay close to friends and family throughout the weekend. Asheville also offers a wide range of wonderful places to stay - from boutique downtown hotels to charming Airbnbs. If you choose to explore other options, we recommend booking early and looking for accommodations near downtown Asheville. June is peak wedding season, and rooms tend to fill up quickly.

Question

Will transportation be provided on the wedding day?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have buses running to and from the venue, with pickup and drop-off locations in Downtown Asheville. If you’re staying elsewhere, there will be parking available at the venue - but we recommend taking the shuttle for convenience (and to celebrate responsibly!).

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is formal (black-tie optional). For men, a tuxedo or dark suit and tie is ideal. The groom and groomsmen will be wearing tuxedos. For women, a long gown or formal cocktail dress fits the occasion beautifully. The ceremony and reception will take place at Chestnut Ridge, in both indoor and outdoor spaces. We recommend block heels or dressy flats for comfort on outdoor pathways, and a light wrap or jacket for the cooler evening air.

Question

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to venue capacity and the intimate nature of our celebration, plus ones will be granted only to guests who received one on their invitation. If your invitation includes a guest’s name or says “and guest,” you’re welcome to bring them! Otherwise, we’re excited to spend the weekend celebrating with you solo — and promise there will be plenty of familiar faces, great company, and an open dance floor.

Question

What is there to do in Asheville?

Answer

So much! From exploring the Biltmore Estate and Blue Ridge Parkway to brewery hopping and waterfall hikes, Asheville is full of charm and adventure. We’ve included a full list of our favorite activities, restaurants, and sights on the “Things to Do” page.
