Flying In
If you’re flying in, we recommend arriving through Anchorage (ANC). The venue is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic and weather.
Where to Stay
We recommend booking accommodations between Palmer and Sutton, as Sutton is more remote with very limited amenities. If you have a camping pass (8/8 eve), please see "camping pass holders". section.
Great areas to look for lodging:
Palmer (closest with real amenities; groceries, restaurants, gas)
Butte / Knik River (scenic Airbnb cabins)
Chickaloon (rustic, quiet, mountain views)
Sutton (closest to the venue but very limited services)

Three Bears Alaska (groceries + outdoor gear)
About the Drive
The drive from Anchorage to Sutton is scenic but rural:
Cell service becomes spotty after Palmer
Fill up your gas tank in Palmer or before leaving Anchorage
Watch for moose along the highway
Expect winding mountain roads past the river
