We first met while working at Michelangelo's Pizza during high school. It wasn’t love at first sight, but there was something about the late-night shifts, pizza dough, and shared laughter that laid the foundation for a friendship we never saw coming. We bonded over more than just the job and became fast friends. After high school, we both went our separate ways, but the bond we shared didn’t fade. We each enrolled at East Carolina University and we kept in touch throughout college. Whether it was a quick phone call, a text, or running into each other at an ECU event, our friendship remained strong. In August of 2021, something changed—there was a shift in the way we saw each other. The long phone calls turned into regular dates, and before we knew it, we were officially a couple. Looking back, it felt like the most natural next step, but we both knew that the foundation we’d built over the years was the strongest one we could ask for. Over the next two years, our relationship grew in ways we hadn’t expected. We began building a future together, supporting each other through career changes, making new memories and have stood by each other during some of life’s biggest milestones. On Christmas Eve 2023, Josh took me by surprise in the most perfect way. Under the twinkling lights of the Chinese Lantern Festival, he got down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" The world seemed to stop for a moment, and all I could feel was pure joy and love. Of course, I said yes, overwhelmed by the fact that this journey we started years ago had led us to this moment—ready to begin our forever together. Now, as we prepare to say "I do," we can’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come. From pizza shifts to college, from being friends to building a life together—we’ve been through it all, and every step as well as our family and friends have made us into who we are today. We’re beyond excited to begin the next chapter of our story, surrounded by the people we love, and we can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you on our wedding day.
