Hotel
The main hub of the wedding! The Madonna Inn is a historic theme hotel built on California's Central Coast in 1958. Each of its 110 rooms are unique with a themed layout and decor created by the inn's founders, the Madonna Family (no relation to the pop queen). The inn features almost entirely custom art and furniture, and decorations which change seasonally. It also has an on-site breakfast restaurant, steakhouse, gift shop, wine and cheese cellar, and convenience store. The Madonna Inn is a California bucketlist location both for its unique look and delicious food (especially the cake) - we recommend booking dining reservations in advance. BOOKING: The Madonna Inn offers rooms with one bed, double bed rooms and multi-bedroom suites. We recommend viewing the room themes and grounds map online at the Madonna Inn's website prior to booking. You can book online or make a reservation over the phone. If you stay here, please mention "NELSON AND CRAWFORD WEDDING" in the notes section of your reservation (if booking online) or to the agent at check-out (if booking over the phone). ACCESSIBILITY: Rooms housed in buildings 2 and 3 are up a relatively steep driveway, and some rooms include additional sets of stairs which may be slick when wet.

Several rental car options are available at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. We recommend renting a car if you're using our wedding as a base stop on a California roadtrip!
Travel Note

Train
We love a train! The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner runs between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo, and the Coastal Starlight runs up the entire West Coast. If you prefer to fly into a Southern California airport or plan on making our wedding a stop in a longer West Coast vacation, this might be a good option. NOTE: Please be aware that it is not uncommon for Amtrak trips to be unpredictably delayed by several hours *at any point in your journey.* We recommend this option if you're coming in with plenty of time to spare, but we do NOT recommend a train if you're looking for reliable travel or are on a time crunch. Seriously!! Charlie and I had a train delayed by 8 hours last winter!!! Trust us, East Coasters!!! This ain't your New Jersey Transit!!!
