The First Date Like any modern day tale, Taylor and Chris met online in June 2020. They quickly bonded over their dislike of Thanksgiving food and when Chris asked Taylor when she was free, she offered to meet on Sunday or Monday. His playful response? “Saving the best days for me?” Little did he know, Taylor’s twin was in town, and that’s a pattern Chris would see again, as twin time always remained a priority. On their first date, Chris made a bold move in the elevator, pulling down his mask and crossing over to give Taylor the best first kiss of her life. Over dinner, Taylor asked hard-hitting questions like, "Do you like cats?" (he thankfully answered yes) and “Do you believe in soulmates?” Chris answered yes; Taylor, on the other hand, said no. When Chris asked why they were there, she replied, “To change my mind.” And change it he did. The Proposal Taylor made plans with her friends for a brunch on 8/24/24. At the same time, she reached out to Chris’s family to see if they could coordinate their annual Orioles game outing. Unfortunately, a date that worked for everyone couldn’t be found, so the game was off the table. Taylor didn’t know that Chris was secretly planning something much bigger—a proposal. Growing up in Maryland, Chris always found Camden Yards to be special. As a huge sports fan, Taylor was always up for a game, and her dad—a closet Orioles fan—had introduced her to the magic of the stadium. Since Taylor and Chris often visited Camden Yards together, it felt like the perfect place for Chris to pop the question. Chris contacted Taylor’s parents to share his plan. Everyone was excited to help make the moment unforgettable. However, when Chris mentioned the date, Taylor’s parents realized they had plans with friends Matt and Jill that weekend. Taylor’s dad called to cancel, and Jill, a Baltimore-based photographer, kindly offered to capture the special moment. With the plan coming together, Chris tasked Mallory with contacting Taylor’s friends (sorry, April & Kiki) to cancel the brunch plans. Chris's family left that weekend open, hoping it would all work out; August 24th was the day! Everything was set. Fast forward to the big day. Taylor and Chris arrived in Baltimore and walked toward Camden Yards. Taylor jokingly said, “Maybe this will be our last game as boyfriend and girlfriend.” Chris just smiled and replied, “Maybe.” When they arrived at the stadium, Taylor was surprised to see Matt and Jill. Jill mentioned she had recently started working as a photographer for the Orioles, and Taylor bought it. Taylor asked to take a photo for her dad, as he wouldn’t believe they ran into each other. Taylor didn’t know her dad was behind the gate, watching the entire scene unfold! After the photo, the Orioles staff suggested Taylor and Chris take a picture in front of the stadium. Always one to follow instructions, Taylor moved into position—and as she did, Chris dropped to one knee. When Taylor turned around and saw Chris on one knee, she dropped all her belongings and fell to her knees. The moment she’d been dreaming of was finally happening. Through happy tears and a breathless asthma attack, Chris asked her to marry him, and she said yes! As they embraced, Taylor heard their names being called. When she turned around, she saw their families and friends gathered nearby, ready to celebrate. The moment was perfect—everything Taylor had hoped for and more. The newly engaged couple celebrated the big day with an O’s win and endless memories. The Wedding Chris and Taylor are beyond excited to become husband and wife, and they can’t wait to celebrate with you all at their wedding in Taylor’s home state of New Jersey. The wedding theme is a hint of nostalgia, an abudance of romance, and true authenticity. The couple thoughtfully chose each vendor, guest, and detail; your presence means the world to them. Thank you for your love and support. They can’t wait to celebrate this special day with you! XOXO
