We suggest arranging housing by this summer (2021) as rentals typically book roughly 1 year in advance. I've listed some options below but feel free to search elsewhere! There are no hotels or B&Bs on Islesboro.
If you plan to fly, we recommend flying into either the Portland or Bangor airports.
There is a ferry that will take you from Lincolnville to Islesboro. Please visit https://www.maine.gov/mdot/ferry/islesboro/ for more information on the ferry schedule and fees. Note that the last ferry leaves Lincolnville at 5 pm. Try the lobster rolls at the restaurant next to the ferry - they are delicious!
If you prefer to stay on the mainland we will arrange a boat to take you to and from the island on the day of the wedding. There are many wonderful hotels and B&Bs in Camden and Belfast, which are very near to the ferry terminal.
If you wish to stay on the island, please plan on preparing most of your meals at home. There are 2 grocery stores and 1 ice cream/sandwich shop.
