Burlington Farmers Market

One of the most extensive Farmers Markets you will see. This would be a great way to spend your Saturday morning before the wedding festivities. Definitely visit our favorite vendors: Gracie's Tamales and Shelburne Farms!

Mt. Philo State Park

An easy, 30-minute hike with amazing pay off. Gorgeous views of the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain Valley.

Church Street Marketplace

Take a walk on this pedestrian street to do some shopping or just take in the street performers. Be sure to stop by Lake Champlain Chocolates for sweet treats and Frog Hollow to see work by local artisans.

ArtsRiot

Arts Riot is a fun performance venue, gallery & cafe features New American eats, plus craft cocktails & local beer. Only open in the evenings.

ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain

This would be a great spot for those with kids! ECHO is a scientific discovery museum all about Lake Champlain. It's right on Burlington's Waterfront and is a must-see for those hoping to get a glimpse of Champ, the Lake Monster.

Shelburne Museum

An unconventional and delightful museum containing 39 structures over 45 beautiful acres. Folk art, Impressionist paintings, circus collections, and even a steamboat on a campus of historic buildings and galleries.

Shelburne Farms

A 1,400 acre working farm, forest, and National Landmark, with landscape design by Frederick Law Olmsted and four prominent buildings by architect Robert H. Robertson. Great for a walk, run, or a visit to the Farm Barn. (An essential stop for those with kids! Don't miss the Chicken Parade.)

One of our favorite spots in Burlington with a great selection of used and new books.

Local Motion

Rent some bikes and ride all the way to the Champlain Islands. The Causeway is a bike path that goes right through Lake Champlain and is absolutely beautiful.

A collection of four gardens that Nell's Mom, Valerie Bang-Jensen, has created at Saint Michael's College where she teaches. These gardens are a collaboration between the biology and education departments and contain interactive activities for kids within them.
