Welcome to our Wedding!

We met on the dating app "Hinge", days later we planned to meet for our first date. It was snowboarding at Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe, California. Neil attempted to talk to another blonde girl until he realized she was a skier. Along came April with her long blonde hair, she lifted up her goggles looking up at him with her blue "puppy dog" eyes. They got on the ski lift, and rode their way around the mountain. Neil was impressed by April's snowboarding skills. Needless to say she "passed" the test! They spent the rest of the day together getting lunch at Stateline Brewery. He asked her on a second date, and after that they became inseparable! Heavenly Ski Resort became a special place for Neil and April, a place where they had started their love story, and a place they would always hold dear in their hearts.

Neil and April went on a European Ski Vacation to various destinations in France, Switzerland, and Austria. It was their first day snowboarding in Switzerland at Zermatt, famous for the “Matterhorn”. They got off the gondola where there was a “Zermatt” sign for all the tourists to take pictures. Neil’s plan was to propose here, but there were too many people. They circled around mountain with views of the Matterhorn along the whole run! Neil rode off to the side of the run to “fix his bindings”. April commented, “is this what disney dreams are made of?”. She wanted to take a picture of them with the Matterhorn in the background. She joked saying, “it could be our Christmas card!” Neil replied, “we have to be married to have a Christmas card.” As he was unstrapping one leg he got onto his knee with his board still attached. He started unzipping his pocket and pulled out a ring box. April gasps “Are you for real?”. Neil proceeds to propose, and April says “YES!”. They celebrated by snowboarding the rest of the day, going out to dinner, and finishing off their trip as a newly engaged couple!

Neil and April are adventure seekers! They love to travel and play where they live! They recently picked up split boarding and have found a whole new love for the mountains outside the ski resorts. They have visited multiple ski resorts together. When they aren’t snowboarding they like to mountain bike, hike (although Neil would prefer to run), and explore the outdoors.
