In true modern fashion our love story begain online, sort of...We were introduced by a mutual friend who swapped our phone numbers and photos of us to the other and said we would be a great match. I thought he was way too cool for me, traveling all over the world so adventurous and hardly ever in town, how could our paths ever cross?? Little did I know he thought I was out of his league too!? So three years went by of light social media stalking and sliding in the dm’s only to make plans, get nervous and cancel said plans. One day I think we both knew this is either going to be the best thing to ever happen, or be a complete disaster but we have to find out for ourselves. I think the line was “what would you do if I actually show up this time?” Well...turns out we fall madly in love with each other and spend the rest of our lives together!

Between Corona virus, lock down, wild fires, restrictions, reservations, etc. I’m not sure how J pulled this off, just goes to show everything has a way of working out. We love to travel and we love National Parks so this trip really didnt raise any suspision from me, I was just so excited to get to see the gorgeous views of Yosemite and cross off a bucketlist National Park. The sky was hazy and the views were incredible it all felt like a dream. J kept insisting on a short hike through a meadow (he did a ton of research and found the exact spot he wanted to pop the question) but I pushed harder to start with the longer trail, I had no idea what he was planning! (Sorry for hijaking the proposal, honey) We maybe got half a mile into the hike when we found a good photo spot and J set up the tripod for photos, or so I thought! He actually started a video and asked me right there in front of Half Dome (my new favorote place on earth) got the whole thing on video, where I asked him probably seven times if he was serious, I was in shock! It honestly felt like I was dreaming and I could not believe this was real life, but for the record I did say yes!! (He’ll tell you I said no in the video but again, complete shock!!) Every part of that day was so special and I know how much effort and planning was put into every detail to make me feel so special, but truthfully he makes me feel that way every day. It still feels like a dream, and it is, a dream come true.
