Question

What venue is the wedding at again?

Answer

The wedding will take place at Fort de Batterijen, Overeindseweg 25, 3435 LP, Nieuwegein. Nieuwegein is next to Utrecht, so easy to reach if you're staying there for the weekend. It still is the Netherlands, so unlike in sunny California, we cannot make any promises about the weather. The majority of the wedding is currently planned to take place outside, so please plan accordingly.

How can I get to the venue?

Answer

The best way to get to the venue is by car or by bike (how Dutch!). From the center of Utrecht it is about a 25 minute cycle, and 20 minutes by car or taxi. The main taxi company in Utrecht is de Utrechtse Taxi Centrale (UTC) - https://utc.nl/ Uber/Bolt is also an option, but compared to the USA you will usually find less available drivers to make the trip. Getting to the venue by public transport is possible, but the closest bus station is about a 20 minute walk away - so somewhat less ideal.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there are about 120 parking places directly across from the venue. Parking is free.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your plus one has not been specifically invited by the couple, you cannot bring them.

Can I perform something for the couple during the wedding (speech/toast/song/dance/etc.)?

Answer
