Terrence and Nayshon initially became Facebook friends during the Spring of 2019. There wasn't much follow-up other than a few likes and comments here and there. In January 2020, Terrence made a Facebook status following stepping dance lessons he had recently taken. His post immediately caught Nayshon's attention, since she had recently started stepping lessons herself. Nayshon commented on Terrence's post and he instantly private messaged her, inquiring about the lessons she was taking. Eventually, the two exchanged phone numbers and began communicating offline. A few days later, they met for breakfast on January 18, 2020, and their encounter left them both intrigued. The following evening, they met for coffee and conversation, which transitioned to a couple of games of pool, and ultimately a desire to continue seeing one another consistently. Early on in their friendship, the two felt something special for one another, as they enjoyed early morning prayer time, fasting, and discussing the word of God together. A couple of months into getting to know one another, the world would change as we knew it. Nayshon and Terrence's dating life was drastically changed by the worldwide pandemic, COVID-19. Despite "outside" being closed, Nayshon and Terrence found creative ways to continue getting to know one another. Whether it was participating in a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Chicago, going for a walk, or parking along Wabash Avenue to eat takeout food, these two became inseparable. After a while, they noticed that parking on Wabash Avenue in downtown Chicago was an unintended theme in their dating life and agreed that the street held a special place in their hearts. Following nearly six months of dating, the two agreed to become exclusive and the rest they say...is history. On October 23, 2021, Terrence, along with Nayshon's daughter and a few of Nayshon's closest sister-friends and family members came together to surprise her with a marriage proposal.
Eleven Eleven 1111 West Lake Street, Chicago, Illinois 60607 With the help of Nia and a few of Nayshon's sister-friends, Terrence surprised her with a beautiful proposal at Eleven Eleven restaurant in the west loop of Chicago. Terrence, being the project manager that he is, had been planning his proposal to Nayshon for quite a few months. Earlier in the summer, he asked Nayshon's uncle Jerry, who she endears as a father-figure, for her hand in marriage. He also asked her daughter, Nia for permission to marry her mother. After months of plotting and planning, Terrence and Nayshon's sister-friends decided that the perfect opportunity would be disguised as one of the busiest days on Nayshon's calendar. Unbeknownst to her, Nayshon had no idea that a dinner date she had been planning for a couple of months with her sister-friends (The FAVS), was actually the seed for the night that would ultimately change her life and her last name forever.

Although we'd love to celebrate with all of our family, friends, and church members, we've decided on a 50-person intimate adult-only ceremony at the Royalton Riviera Cancun. Our union will take place on Sunday, October 23, 2022. We have a limited number of guests, so your timely responses to booking and RSVPs is greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance for not bringing a plus one, with the exception of those who are married, engaged, or those with long-term significant others already known to us. If additional space opens up, we will determine if additional plus ones can be added to our list. Thank you all for your ongoing support as we journey to become one (Family & Friends) 💜 Nay & T #FallingfortheMilfords2022
