Rio de Janeiro

The Wedding Website of Nayara Viana and Michael Hagan
Let me tell you about Rio… Rio de Janeiro is a scenic combination of nature and city, with mountains and beaches side by side, creating unforgettable views. The vibe is unique with welcoming people always ready to dance samba, enjoy a caipirinha or enjoy the beach. The food? You’ll fall in love with Rio’s açaí bowls, feijoada, churrasco (think barbeque), and the famous Biscoito Globo (a must). Our wedding will be in September, which is one of the best months to visit. The weather will be warm enough to enjoy the beach, yet cool enough to explore the city comfortably. If you have time, explore more of Brazil! If not, don’t worry! We’re planning parties at Leblon and Ipanema beaches, and our wedding will be in Santa Teresa, a charming, bohemian neighborhood with stunning views of the city and Christ the Redeemer. Plus, it’s near Tijuca Forest, so you’re surrounded by nature. We promise you’ll leave our wedding feeling a little bit Brazilian. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

Beaches

Beaches

During your stay in Rio, we recommend visiting the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema, and Copacabana. Each has its own unique charm: Leblon is calm and sophisticated, perfect for relaxing; Ipanema is lively, with a youthful vibe and lots of energy; and Copacabana, the most famous, offers a vibrant atmosphere with plenty of entertainment options. These are the most iconic beaches in Rio and perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the beauty of the city!
