Please RSVP by June 7, 2025. We want to ensure everything is perfect for you, so kindly let us know if you can attend by this date.
At the moment, there is no visa requirement to enter Brazil. However, starting on April 10th, 2025, U.S. citizens will need a tourist visa to enter Brazil, in addition to their passport. These visas are valid for up to 90 days, and the application process will be fully online via the eVisa system, eliminating the need for physical documents. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more! Rio is a vibrant city with much to offer, but like any major city, it's important to stay aware of your surroundings. Stick to well-traveled areas, avoid flashy jewelry, and use common sense when it comes to your belongings. Most tourists have an amazing experience when they follow basic safety tips. Uber and taxis are generally safe for getting around.
The Brazilian wedding experience is all about fun and celebration, with no sit-down dinner or assigned seating. Instead, it's a lively party where guests mingle, enjoy music, and dance the night away. There will be an open bar and food available throughout the celebration, ensuring that no one goes hungry or thirsty. We want everyone to get to know each other before the big day, which is why we’re excited to have you join us for additional events leading up to the wedding. Keep an eye on our website for more details soon!
We recommend checking flights from some of the main international airports that often offer great prices and direct or convenient connecting flights to Brazil. Consider the following airports: - Orlando, FL (MCO) - Miami, FL (MIA) - New York, NY (JFK) - Boston, MA (BOS) - Austin, TX (AUS) - Washington, DC – Virginia/Maryland (IAD/BWI) - Las Vegas, NV (LAS)
For our special day, we ask guests to dress in business casual attire. Gentlemen, think of a suit without a tie, and ladies, a medium-to-long cocktail dress will be perfect. The ceremony will be outdoors on rocks and grass, so comfortable footwear, such as block heels or flats, is recommended. Ladies, please avoid wearing black or white. Cocktail dresses that end at the knee, as well as short dresses, are not suitable for the occasion.
Yes! We’ve arranged transportation for guests between the hotels and the wedding venue. Detailed information on pick-up locations and times will be provided closer to the date. Please let us know if you have any special transportation needs.
Plus-one options will be included on the invite. If you’d like to add a serious significant other to your invitation, please reach out to us. We would love to offer everyone a plus-one, but we need to be mindful of the venue size constraints. We appreciate your understanding!
We love all the little ones, but please be aware that the venue is located atop a mountain with a terrace that does not have guardrails and may not be ideal for children. Additionally, the event will feature an open bar and loud music. While we prefer to keep the celebration adults-only, if you're comfortable bringing your kids and personally supervising them throughout the event, they are welcome to join.
The currency in Brazil is the Brazilian Real (BRL). ATMs and exchange services are widely available in Rio, and major credit cards are accepted. As of now, 1 USD equals approximately 6 BRL, but rates fluctuate. We recommend checking the rate closer to your trip or using a currency converter app.
September in Rio is warm (70°F to 85°F / 21°C to 29°C), with sunny days and cooler evenings. Pack light, breathable clothing for the day, something nice for the wedding, comfy shoes for the outdoor ceremony, and a light jacket for the evening. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses!
