FAQs

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! Please obtain a passport if you do not have one! You will need to apply for a passport months in advance because you will not get it as soon as you apply. If you already have one, check to make sure it isn't expired.

Question

What currency is used in Spain and how do I pay for things when I'm there?

Answer

Spain's currency is the euro. To pay for items in Spain you can either: 1. Go to a currency exchange prior to travel if you want to bring cash with you. Note: they will likely charge you an exchange fee and some places will not give you the cash right away, so you would need to do this a few weeks before traveling. 2. Get a credit card that doesn't charge international fees. We use the Apple Card and don't get charged any fees when purchasing items in Spain. The only downside to that card is you need to own an iPhone to activate it.

Question

Are there flight recommendations?

Answer

We love flying with Iberia! I would recommend NOT flying with Air Europa, we have had awful experiences with them.

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 12 on our wedding day.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by February 20, 2026.

Question

Address for the venue

Answer

Estrada Os Fortes, 7, 15011 A Coruña, Spain

Question

Transportation to/from the venue

Answer

Buses are scheduled to pick up guests at Hotel Plaza, time TBD. If you'd prefer to drive yourself, there is plenty of parking at the venue. You may also order a taxi through Radio Taxi (+34 981 243 333) or Tele-Taxi (+34 981 287 777).

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking available if you wish to drive yourself.

Question

Will the event be inside or outside?

Answer

If weather permits, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, then dinner and the open bar will be indoors. If the weather is poor, all occasions will be held indoors.

Question

What are the recommended accommodations?

Answer

Hotel Plaza is the recommended hotel, which is listed on our website https://www.zola.com/wedding/nayandbrian/travel. Hotel Plaza has rooms blocked out for our wedding guests, although you can choose any hotel or Airbnb in A Coruña. However, this hotel offers a discounted rate for our guests and is optimal for those who would like to use the shuttle service we organized to get to the venue.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Semi-formal attire: We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress, dressy separates or a suit and tie. Please note that the venue does not permit blue jeans or sneakers.

Question

What's the weather like in May?

Answer

Average High/Low Temperature (℉): 65/54 Average Rainy Days: 9

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Since we want to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, we unfortunately aren't accommodating plus-ones beyond those named on the wedding invitation.

Question

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving tapas at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree (seafood or meat). If you have any dietary restrictions, please reach out to Denay ASAP to let her know.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be 3 hours of an open bar after dinner.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. If you would like to bless us further, we would greatly appreciate a contribution to our honeymoon or house fund, helping us begin this new chapter together: https://www.zola.com/registry/nayandbrian

Question

What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to the venue at least 45 minutes prior to the ceremony.

Question

What time will the wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The reception will end at 11:30 PM. There isn't a planned after-party.

Question

What are some good places to eat in the area?

Answer

Honestly, I've never had bad food when visiting A Coruña. Try to be spontaneous and pick any place and try it out! Keep in mind, Spain doesn't rely on a tipping culture, so you do not have to tip when going out to eat.

2:30-3:30 (1 hour): Ceremony 3:30-5:30 (2 hours): Cocktail Hour 5:30-8:30 (3 hours): Dinner 8:30-11:30 (3 hours): Open Bar
