FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire! Ladies can wear tea-length/midi/maxi dresses or dressy jumpsuits. Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie (tie is optional) or sports jacket/dress pants. Fall colors and florals encouraged! We understand it's Halloween but please leave your costumes at home!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only event. The only exceptions are the little ones in our bridal party. We hope you understand and enjoy the night off!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a hotel block at Hyatt House Hotel. Do not wait to book this as it will fill up quickly! For more information, please visit our Travel section.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We plan to provide transportation from Hyatt House Hotel to the ceremony, ceremony to the venue, and the venue back to the hotel. This schedule will be released closer to the date. Uber/Lyft is available but with it being Halloween night they will be busy!

Question

Is there parking at the church?

Answer

There's street parking, public parking lots and decks around the area. We would suggest parking in the Municipal Building Deck (201 W Morgan Street)---this deck has free parking on the weekends!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot next to the venue located on Polk Street. Here are the directions to the lot: - Traveling down Blount Street, you will pass The Merrimon-Wynne House on your left. Take an immediate left on Polk Street and the parking lot will be located on your right between Blount and Person Street. - Traveling down Person Street from Downtown Raleigh, you will turn left on Polk Street and the parking lot entrance will be on your left, just past The Burning Coal Theater.

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

If you received a plus one, your guest's name is listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
