Kayla Corkum

Maid of Honor

“Rachael and I were paired together by coach who thought we would be a good fit. I was apprehensive at first, but once Rachael & I met and bonded on a trip to Ocean City MD with our families I found out how kind, funny, scarcastic, & strong headed she is. After that trip I knew that we would get along & knew that I wanted to be her friend. We lived together for the four years at ESU, from the dorms and into the 104 house & only grew closer. We are the same person & polar opposites at the same time, she is my person. After being her teammate in college I cannot imagine a better partner for her then Taylor. Taylor & I bonded quickly over our love of Rugby, the Pizza Hunt Dinner Box, & of course, Rachael. I am beyond ecstatic to have a role to play in the marriage between my two best friends”

Logan Nauman

Best Man

“I have been with you for the past 18 years of your life. I have always learned from you whether it was when you never gave up and reached your goals or when you got in trouble by our parents. I want to thank you for all the clothes and shoes you gave me, or what I took, and for what you taught me. The first thing you taught me was to never give up. Another thing you taught me is how to live the best life because you went through all of this before me and to this day you still look out for me. You were always more than a brother to me, you were a coach, a fan, and my best friend. Thank you so much for letting me know that no matter what is to come in the future I will always know that we are brothers till the day we die and I will always have you in my life. I love you Big Bro”

Natalie Leith

Matron of Honor

"When I first met Rachael I was three years old and my grandma had brought me to the hospital to meet my new little sister. I do not remember much since I was so young. My mom told me I use to tell her to “put her baby down” so she could play with me instead. It wasn’t until I got older that Rach and I got to bond as sisters. We definitely have had our ups and downs of stealing each other’s clothes and fighting over who the favorite kid is but, that is just sisterly love! I am so excited to get to stand by my sister as she starts this new chapter of her life."

Bridesmaid

10 years after I was born, almost to the day, our parents decided that they needed another me. So along came Rachael. Even though we are many years apart, we are soul sisters...we get each other. She is the more emotional one; happy, sad, she's crying. She loves with everything she has and is always putting others before herself. I'm thankful God gave me a little sister who is so similar, yet so different than me. We bond over our love for Jesus and our sailor mouths...seems a bit backwards lol. I'm extremely excited that my baby sister has found the one who her soul loves. I can't wait to stand by her on this very special day.

Taylor and I first met at ESU through our girlfriends at the time, who were roommates during our first semester. While our romantic relationships came and went, the brotherly bond we share has weathered the test of time. I can say with confidence that I would not have made it through college if it weren’t for the unconditional support of both Taylor and his wonderful family. What draws me and Taylor together the most is our common determination to achieve success through hard work. I am thankful to have found a friend who refuses to let me feel bad for myself. He lifts me up by reminding me that discomfort is a necessary component of growth, and his many accomplishments since graduating college give merit to his words.

Experientially speaking, marriage is hard work. People change over the years, and it takes a conscious effort to grow together with a spouse; for this reason, I am thankful that the only person I know who is a harder worker than Taylor is his bride to be, Rachael. Throughout our years of friendship, Taylor and I have supported each other in seasons of triumph and disappointment, prosperity and heartbreak, and I am honored to have the opportunity to share with him what I expect to be the happiest day of his life. I pray for immeasurable blessings upon Taylor and Rachael as they prepare for their wedding, and I apologize in advance if I cry loudly during the ceremony.

Bridesmaid

"I met Rachael in college when we both played for ESU softball. Our relationship didn't really start out as great friends, but rather I think she wanted to kill me lol. But over the years of playing together, living in 104, going on vacations, we became best friends. Our friendship has always been something we can both count on. This friendship is something I believe God has blessed us with. We always have so many laughs, there's always shots taken (too many at times), and theres always amazing memories when we're together. I am so happy my best friend found someone to spend her life with. Her kind hearted soul and caring nature are two amazing qualities that make her the amazing person, friend, and soon to be wife she is. I'm so glad I get to go through this crazy life with her!"

"A million memories, thousands of inside jokes, hundreds of shared secrets, all because of one reason: he’s my best friend. East Stroudsburg University was where it all began. Playing a little game known as rugby and living in a house where “if the walls could only talk.” They say only a few friends from high school may be present throughout your life, but you find your life long friends in college. From long car rides to away games or long nights at a house that didn’t always have running water. Brookside will always have a special place in our hearts. As we grow older, our memories continue to grow. One thing will never change & that’s how strong our friendship is. 365 days around the sun & I’ll always be there, like he’s always been there for me. Congrats on the next chapter of life."

"The year is 2000. I’m likely wearing overalls and these horrendous leather sketcher sandals, when I meet Rachael Liguori in Mrs. New’s kindergarten class. Fast forward to middle school, we’re wearing matching Hollister sweatpants and I’m getting yelled at by our English teacher for talking too much. In 2008, my dad passed away and with every step I took I had Rach beside me holding me together. High school was… well a blurr. Softball and our dumbass coach Katch. Drinking way too much. The BAHAMAS for spring break. Oh! And there was this one time when she rear-ended my mom’s car just after getting her license. Anyways, there are so many memories I could share from the last 20 years of our friendship, but here’s the gist. I couldn’t imagine who I would be without Rach in my life"

It was a warm summer day and there was a large group of kids gathered outside. The crowd starting chanting, “tase him, tase him, tase him” and a loud pop sound goes off. Taylor, dropping to the floor in pain, with 50,000 volts of electricity going through him was the start of our friendship. It was that very day that I found a best friend with similar aspirations in wanting to go into law enforcement. Throughout the academy, Taylor and I studied together, hated PT together, but most importantly wanted to succeed together. Newberry Police Department is the luckiest agency to have you! Taylor has an amazing personality, very hardworking, and extremely competitive. Thank you for being friends with me and congratulations on your special day with a special woman!

"Exact friendship start date unknown, but somewhere shortly after exiting the womb. We've been through the cute elementary days, awkward middle school phase, bitchy high school age, college party craze and on. Our childhood dreams came true when two best friends became neighbors(shoutout Joe and Nance). Daily carpools, weekly sleepovers, sweet ass tree forts, late night sprints home after watching a scary movie, high school tailgates, & kickass bonfires. Rachael has always supported me & had my back every step of the way. We are two friends who never skip a beat no matter how much time or distance spent apart, we always bounce right back to those childhood best friends. Through our friendship, Joe and Nancy gained a daughter they never asked for, & I gained a sister I couldn’t ask more of"

I met Taylor 6 years ago when I went to visit my girlfriend at ESU. Her & Rachael were good friends & played softball together. I didn't know a lot of people, but he made sure I felt welcomed. I visited many times after this & got to know Taylor even more. We got to know each other one weekend when we drove to surprise our girlfriends in Virginia at a softball tournament. We've remained very close since then & I've gained a great friend. We've made some great memories at the Penn State White Out game & vacation in Myrtle. He's always been there when I needed someone. He always lights up the room with his electric personality. I'm blessed I had the fortune of meeting him & gaining a lifelong friend! Taylor & Rachael are two amazing people that have made their journey together truly special

"Rachael and I met during her recruiting trip on campus.. lucky for her she got to hang out with me... where I took her to do Karaoke while she was wearing camo pajama pants. Rachael was one of the few teammates I had that understood the struggle of being a biology major... and boy did we struggle. She was my study buddy, my shoulder to cry on, and my go to when all I needed was a cold beer after doing less than steller on an exam. Rachael would drop anything to come be at your side when in need, and I can't wait to stand next to her on her big day!"

"Taylor and I first met when he started playing rugby at ESU, and we instantly became friends due to our competitive nature! Taylor and I studied the same major at ESU and had the same goals of Law Enforcement in mind! Taylor and I soon became roommates, and since, have been really good friends! Taylor and I have always supported each with our goals of becoming Police Officers, which I can proudly say we both achieved those goals! I was lucky enough to have him stand with me on my wedding day and I am glad I can do the same! Cheers to both you and Rachael!"

Shannan Velez

Bridesmaid

"I have known Rachael for about 7 years now. We met at ESU & just hit it off! I feel like we bonded over our similar taste in style & music, but she needed to be taught the importance of an eyebrow arch. My favorite thing about her has always been her honesty, if her mouth isn’t saying it-her face will. She always motivates me to be the best version of myself, I cherish her for that. She will drop anything for anyone, she always helps me find the light in my darkest days, & reminds me to be thankful for what I have. We can always count on each other no matter how much time has passed. I am so thrilled to be apart of her and Taylor’s special day. It’s clear there is nothing they cannot accomplish together. I love you both & thank you for allowing me to be apart of your happily ever after. "

3...2...1...Brookside! Taylor and my friendship tracks back to the good old days at the ESU Rugby house. I remember when Taylor finally decided to play rugby. We all realized what an asset he would be to the team with all the ham and turkey sandwiches Mrs Nauman would bring to all of our games. This would be key to our success. Taylor is an amazing friend and has always looked out for me both on and off the field. The memories we shared at ESU will last a lifetime and can never be replaced. Cheers to Taylor and Rachel!

Alexandra Frantz

Bridesmaid

"Rachael and I met 2 years ago at Hershey Medical Center. We immediately clicked and our friendship grew quickly over drinks and complaints about our job. I truly believe God brought Rachael into my life when I needed a friend most and I couldn't be more thankful for her friendship. Her honesty and loving personality have just allowed our friendship to grow stronger. I know I can count on her whenever I need someone to complain to, cry to, or lift me up. She has always been there for me and I couldn't be more excited to be there for her on her special day. And of course I'll bring a needle and thread just in case one more button needs fixing."

"Junior year of college I had the great fortune of meeting Taylor, but it wasn't until living at Brookside that we forged a bond. Much has happened between then and now, some memories more hazy than others. From drinking beers to surviving the cold of brookside, slushies down in clearwater to Rec Dodgeball champs, and everything in between. Taylor is as loyal as they come, he has been a great friend and is going to be a great husband!"
