They were introduced by the Maid of Honor, Kayla. Taylor was on the Rubgy team and Rachael played softball, both their teams spent a lot of time together. They had been to many of the same places, but were never introduced. Taylor saw Rachael in the cafe, in a baseball cap, and knew he had to meet her. They went on their first date in April of 2015 to Barley Creek, a restaurant near where they attending college. Rachael and Taylor both knew right away.... :)

Rachael was planning a surprise birthday party for Taylor with his mom. The night was everything that she wanted it to be, down to the cupcakes! The entire way to the party, Taylor was smiling in the car... Rachael thought for sure he knew what was waiting for him. Well, he did! This surprise birthday party for him turned into a surprise engagement for Rachael!!! What better way to make sure the night is everything she wanted than to make her plan it!
