South Beach
This spot on Lake Michigan is our happy place! The beach is expansive, there is a play ground for the kiddos, walk-able to downtown and the pier is where we got engaged! Please keep in mind that alcohol is prohibited and you could be fined if they patrol the area - so be sneaky or go without!
Clementines Restaurant
Family owned restaurant with plenty of menu options for the whole family. No matter the time of year, we always order the french onion soup:). From here you can walk to many different shops and of course get some ice cream.

Blue Water Boat rentals - South Haven
Highly recommend renting a pontoon and taking advantage of the beautiful lake Michigan! Tyler and I have rented through them before and have had great experiences! Call ahead to reserve
Soha Surf Shop
You can rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, etc. from this store. Their rental locations on the water are on their website!
Kal-Haven Trailhead
If you are interested in taking a long bike ride or run on a safe trail - this is for you.
Captain Lou's
Super fun spot for food and drinks. Get yourself a rum runner with a floater on top for a real treat:)

Great spot to have a drink and watch the boats go by!

I would be remiss if I did not include this on my local recommendation places. I am obsessed with their queso dip that they make! Find it in the coolers in the back. Great beer/wine selection

South Haven Farmers Market
On your way down to the beach you can walk downtown and make a pitstop at the Farmers Market. Located downtown at the Huron St. Pavilion, the market runs from 8am-2pm on Saturdays in the Summer.
