Meet our People

Joe David

Groom

It’s me. The groom. The man of the hour. The one who took the bold decision to have eleven groomsmen - not because I’m popular, but because I physically couldn’t make a final call and refused to hurt anyone’s feelings. Planning this wedding has been a journey - while Nat has been deep in seating plans, shade palettes, and hair trials, I’ve been doing my part: suggesting we “just figure it out on the day,” and getting gently removed from most decisions. Thing is, I may not know where I left my cufflinks, but I do know I’m marrying the most incredible woman, surrounded by a team of legends I somehow convinced to be part of this circus. Let’s be honest: I peaked here.

Nat Yager

Bride

It’s me. The bride. If Joe’s the man of the hour, I’m the reason the hour is running on schedule. While Joe’s been busy recruiting groomsmen, I’ve been deep in decision paralysis over tiny details I probably won’t even notice on the day. Joe likes to think he’s the calm one, but saying “we’ll figure it out on the day” doesn’t fly in the Yager household. Someone had to take the lead, while pretending his ideas were being taken seriously. I’m somehow both a control freak and completely indecisive - a dangerous combo that’s resulted in 2 hair trials, 4 makeup, 7 dress appointments, and a national tour of every wedding venue across the country. But Joe’s been by my side through all of it - calming me down, making me laugh, and reminding me what all of this is for. So, if it all runs smoothly, feel free to thank me. If it doesn’t… blame Joe.

Ben Winters

Best Man

The decision to make Ben the best man was a close one... it was either that or he was going to be the bride. Joe and Ben have been friends for longer then they can remember, they both share a love of Chelsea, games and Nat. It was Ben that introduced Joe and Nat to each other, he is the man to thank for you having to shlep to Hampshire in black tie in August. All we ask is everyone keeps a keen eye on his alcohol consumption before he makes his speech.

Libby Viner

Maid of Honour & Wedding Psychologist

Libby and Nat have been inseparable for over 20 years - primary and secondary school, uni, tours, holidays, camp, and countless meltdowns. She’s currently training to be a psychologist, which is lucky because Nat’s wedding breakdowns have basically doubled as work experience. She’s calm and gives the kind of advice Nat (and the entire Yager family) will be relying on to stay sane on the day. She’s also been involved in pretty much every detail of the wedding - including writing this very message. If anyone can keep things together while Nat falls apart, it will be Libby.

Josh David

Groomsman & Brother

Joe’s younger, louder, and arguably more fun brother. Josh is the reason the caterers have been warned that “open bar” doesn’t mean “open season.” He’s currently looking for a new job in the sports industry - so consider this your notice that his CV is available upon request. He’s also open to networking at the wedding, although fair warning: you might not be seeing his most employable side. If he’s passed out by 9pm, don’t worry - he’s probably just taking a tactical nap before round two.

Katy David

Bridesmaid & Toastmaster

Nat’s known Katy longer than she’s known Joe, and if there’s one thing she’s learned, it’s that she’s very good at making decisions for them - whether they asked for it or not. Which is probably why she’s ended up as both bridesmaid and toastmaster. She’s also very creative (yes, she designed the logo, and yes, she’s watching your reaction), and will be running the day with a mix of assertiveness and occasional force. They wouldn’t want it any other way.

Jordan Newfield

Groomsman & Toastmaster

Jordan is marrying Joe’s sister and is, without question, the best thing to happen to the David family gene pool - finally bringing some much-needed height to the lineage. He’s the newest addition to Joe’s life but has made himself completely at home, like a stray dog that turned out to be incredibly funny and also really good at public speaking. As co-toastmaster, Jordan will be helping steer the day... although given his job in politics and his deep inability to be politically correct, we make no promises about what he’ll actually say.

Ben Yager

Groomsman & Brother-in-Law

Ben is Joe’s future brother-in-law, fresh off the back of his own epic wedding in South Africa - which was less a ceremony, more a drum and bass-fuelled fever dream. He’s obsessed with running, staging, lighting, and has been known to DJ at the odd barmitzvah. If you see him wearing headphones during the evening dance sets, don’t be alarmed - we’ve given him permission to run his own silent Tomorrowland disco, complete with imaginary strobe lights and internal lasers. Expect serious vibes and absolutely zero chill.

Linda Yager

Bridesmaid & Sister-in-Law

Linda is Nat’s brand-new sister-in-law and the only other person (apart from Joe) mad enough to marry into the Yagers, they got on from the get-go and she’s the reason most of Nat’s annual leave now gets spent in South Africa. She slotted into the family like she’s been there forever - mainly because she spent the best part of a year planning a wedding with the Yager’s, which basically makes her bulletproof. She’s calm, detail-obsessed, and if anything goes wrong on the day, don’t worry - Linda’s already fixed it.

Ben Sinclair

Groomsman & Former Manager

Ben is not only mad enough to be a friend, but was once mad enough to hire Joe too. As Joe’s former manager, Ben has seen the full spectrum - from “promising talent” to “Joe, do you really think thats acceptable in a professional environment?” He’s the eldest groomsman, a chartered accountant, and a dad of three, which means he’ll be quietly judging the wedding budget like it’s a deeply questionable investment. That said, he’s one of the kindest people Joe knows, and has always been the calm, grounding presence amid the chaos - think of him as the human equivalent of a well-structured spreadsheet.

Charlie Flax

Bridesmaid

Charlie was Nat’s first best friend and has been there right through it all. She’s a fitness trainer with unlimited energy, zero chill, and a strict no-standing-on-the-sidelines policy. If you’re not on the dancefloor, she will quite literally drag you there. She’s fun, fearless, and somehow manages to turn every moment into a celebration. By the end of the night, you’ll either be sweating or signing up to Coached by Charlie.

Jake Rinsler

Groomsman

Jake is the politest person you’ll ever meet - he’ll shake your hand, compliment your outfit, and then immediately try to beat you at absolutely anything. A fierce competitor, Jake hates losing almost as much as he loves playing games… which he does constantly, mostly on his phone, mid-conversation, mid-meal, mid-life. He and Joe attempt to play golf together - though “play” might be overstating whatever it is they’re doing out there. And when the dancefloor heats up, don’t expect to find Jake in the middle of it; you’ll spot him lingering just off to the side, clutching a drink and silently judging the rhythm of others.

Lauren Freeman

Bridesmaid

There would technically be no wedding without Lauren - she made Nat download the app Houseparty, which somehow led to Joe, a proposal, and I guess this wedding. I'm surprised she's not officiating the wedding at this point. They met at uni and have shared nights out, near disasters, and post-date debriefs long enough to make this whole thing feel slightly surreal. On the day, she’ll be touching up everyone’s makeup and then crying hers off 5 minutes later probably while making a new best friend at the bar (she’s Northern).

Sammy Kingston

Groomsman & Wedding Planner

A control freak through and through, Sammy has planned every boys’ trip, meet-up, and Joe’s stag with military precision. He’s officially been given the honorary title of wedding planner - partly as a joke, partly because he actually helped in the early days, and partly because he insisted. He works in property (though he’s jumped between companies like they’re Love Island contestants), is very good at football, and has the kind of curly hair that comes with its own personality. Obsessed with a brand called “Wavy” and its hashtag #FeelWavy, Sammy cares deeply about his appearance - so much so that at his own wedding, it wasn’t entirely clear who the bride was.

Annabel Sutton

Bridesmaid

Annabel and Nat have been best friends for years - and also takes full credit for introducing Joe to the true love of his life: Sam (our witness). Together, they’ve mothered their boyfriends into husbands, and Annabel’s been involved in most wedding decisions - mainly brought in to shut down Joe’s more questionable ideas (there were plenty). She also happens to be pregnant, but you’d never guess it - she’ll still be in heels, fully glam, and somehow running the show without breaking a sweat.

Gavriel Nussbaum

Groomsman & Head Boy

Gavriel was head boy at school, and Joe’s keeping the tradition alive by officially appointing him head boy of the wedding. He’s come a long way since then - leaving a career in banking to become a full-time financial educator, now with millions of followers, global travels, and interviews with people like the Prime Minister. Oh, and he’s done a TED Talk, obviously. He might look like he’s here to give a keynote on tax efficiency - but don’t be fooled. Gav is a lot of fun on a night out and may well be the last man standing. Just don't forget to “like, comment, and subscribe.”

Jake Sanders

Groomsman

Jake and Joe go way back to school days, where Jake was already laying the foundations for his future as a just-about qualified accountant. These days, he’s a proud dad to young Max - short for “Maximising Shareholder Wealth,” obviously. Jake is one of the funniest people Joe knows and a pioneer of the dad bod lifestyle—some say he’s taken the trend a little too seriously. Joe’s been to hospital more times with Jake than without him, which probably tells you everything you need to know about their university nights out. Here's hoping this wedding reignites the wild man within. Max, look away now.

Abi Kramer

Bridesmaid

Abi is Nat’s longest-standing friend - their mums are best friends, so they’ve been stuck with each other since birth. They always joke they’ll end up just like them, which is both terrifying and completely accurate. Abi says it exactly how it is, never holds back, and they’ve spent the last 25 years laughing at each other because of it. There’s never a dull moment with her around - and honestly, their younger selves would be screaming seeing them here, still side by side.

Josh Cohen

Groomsman

Josh and Joe have properly bonded over the last few years - mainly through golf lessons (on and off the course), questionable chat, and a boys trip to Mykonos that cemented the friendship. A tall guy with top-tier banter and an endless supply of patience, Josh is doing his best to make Joe a golfer… and honestly deserves a medal for it. He’s also turning heads as the only tattooed groomsman at a wedding hosted in the Four Seasons Hampshire. Bit rogue. Bit iconic. Josh is also Nat's favourite groomsman and is Joe's understudy for the days events.

Adam Dullop

Groomsman

Adam was Joe’s best friend at school—though to be clear, they bonded over everything except the actual schoolwork. Tall, single, good-looking, and often found at the gym, Adam is living proof that biceps and brains don’t always travel together (and that’s okay). He’s deaf in his right ear, which Joe sees less as a disability and more as a tactical excuse to ignore him during deep chats. Their friendship is stitched together with dark humour, questionable banter, and the kind of inappropriate jokes that will absolutely not be making the wedding speeches. Probably.
