Downtown there are a number of small shops. Gift shops, trinket shops, and others. One favorite from the bride and groom is Andy's Candy Store. They have been in business for over 100 years, and make their own candies and chocolate from scratch. Family owned- pop in to grab some sweets to snack on throughout your stay! If sweets aren't your thing, walking around downtown you'll find a number of trinket and antique stores.
This is an event that is all things Christmas, and it typically takes place the first Saturday of December (the day before the wedding) at the city hall and/or our wedding venue! Expect cocoa, Santa, and other activities! Look this up to see what's going on, or if this event is taking place on 12/4/27 in December 2027. If by chance this event is not occurring on the wedding weekend, this item will be removed from things to do.

In for longer and wanting something FUN to do that you haven't (or maybe you have) done before? Why not take a glass blowing class? Especially if booking for multiple people, take a look at available classes around this time and book in advance. Please note classes may fill up quickly, especially if Christmas of Yesteryear is happening at this time; plan ahead!
Not wanting to deal with Chicago traffic, taking a longer trip, and still looking for a couple of things to do? Richmond IL is a more rural area of IL close to Wisconsin, in surrounding towns the area is similar and we would encourage you to see what other cities are offering fun things to do this time of year. Twin Lakes, Genoa City, and Hebron, and Spring Groves are notable surrounding cities all approximately 15-20 minutes away.
