Both of us participated in the East Meets West Honors program at Houghton College! Here, we are standing on a hill, overlooking the bridge on the Drina River.

Do you see that crazy ridge in the background? We hiked that together about a year after dating! It is called Knife's Edge, which leads to the summit of Mt. Katahdin!

The day after Nathaniel proposed, he took me to the Beardsley Zoo for my birthday! We took some cute engagement photos because we were so excited!

Even though we had both had "full shifts" at work that day (in reality, Nathaniel took a half day to prepare without telling!), we hiked Squantz Pond, which is where he proposed! A total surprise! <3

Nathaniel's sister and my now bridesmaid, Rachel, was there, hiding in the forest, ready to capture the "Yes!" moment on camera!

Nathaniel's first time to my home town! We did devos together at an overlook near some cow friends. :)

I begged him for a photo shoot because we were actually dressed up for once! I still love these pictures of us!

This was taken shortly before our senior year homecoming dance! :)

We try our best to strike a balance between silly and serious!

The summit of Mt. Katahdin!

Victory peaches! We have a tradition to always carry a peach each when hiking mountains, and enjoy them when we reach the top!

Pictures in the park after a lunch date at one of our favorite restaurants, Ace's!

Someone who loves animals? Check! He supports all of my dreams and ambitions.
