Flight

Denpasar International Airport (DPS)

Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar is Bali’s main gateway. There are no direct flights from the U.S. to Bali. Most travelers have layovers in Singapore, Manila, Incheon, or Hong Kong. Once in Bali, the easiest way to get around is by ride-hailing apps such as 'Grab' or 'Gojek' (Uber is not available). Taxis are available, but make sure to use BlueBird taxis for reliable metered fares. We kindly recommend that guests avoid accepting rides from individuals who approach you directly at the airport offering taxi services. For a more reliable experience, we suggest using reputable ride-hailing apps or arranging a transfer through the hotel. Please see FAQs for more details.

All Indonesia Arrival Card

Starting September 1, 2025, all travelers arriving from abroad will be required to complete the "All Indonesia Arrival Card." It combines your immigration details, customs declaration, and health pass into one quick online process. Travelers can apply within 72 hours before arrival in Bali. In the same form (after you've submitted your declaration), you can also apply for an Electronic Visa-on-Arrival. If you forget or prefer to do it later, you can still apply through the official e-Visa website or obtain a VoA when you arrive in Bali. More details below.

Travel Note

Visa

U.S. passport holders can obtain an Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) before entering Indonesia. This visa is valid for 30 days and costs 500,000 IDR (around 35 USD). Apply up to 14 days before arrival and no later than 48 hours before landing to avoid potential delays at the airport. Alternatively, guests can apply and pay in-person at the airport upon arrival, though wait times may range from a few minutes to two hours.

Bali Tourism Levy

This tourism levy, which costs international visitors 150,000 IDR (around 10 USD), supports the preservation of Bali's cultural heritage and natural environment, and helps improve the overall quality of services for visitors.
