Yes. We met on the occasion of the infamous Minneapolis institution that is the Zombie Pub Crawl. But there's so much more than that: Tess was invited to attend the event with a friend of hers from her job at the University of Minnesota, Jaime. It may have been made clear to her that there was a perennially single guy there (enter Nathan) who happened to be Braxton's close friend from school. Tess ended up applying my Zombie makeup and that's where this whole thing started. A long night of flirting, dressed as zombies, listening to Smash Mouth resulted in an exchange of phone numbers and a conversation that has not stopped to this day. Tess has always been bold, and she even was the one that asked me out! We've been through a lot since then - moving to L.A., grad school, living apart, surviving quarantine together, and on - so I'm very excited to have finally gotten her back by asking her to marry me. - Nathan

After several disappointments thanks to Covid, we have chosen to move forward with a venue we think is a more certain bet (fingers are crossed that Bill and Cheryl don't kick us out!) We will be celebrating at Tess' parent's house with an intimate backyard ceremony and reception. We will continue to monitor any potential restrictions that could impact our plans and will let you know as soon as we can if anything changes.
