One of the smartest guys I know, Gaines has been a constant friend for most of my life. Whether it be in academics or in any of the long nights of gaming that stretch back to middle school, Gaines and I have always pushed each other to new heights, and I can attribute a lot of my success to his friendship and advice. If you want to talk about anything from rocket engines, to nuclear physics, to the best way to catch a shark off the coast of Florida, he's your man.

Izzy has been a dear friend since middle school. A golden retriever of a human being, she's been a constant figure in my life. A sounding board for anything I need and the occasional gossip sesh on the people we went to high school with.

Evan has been an incredible friend these past two years in College Station, keeping me sane and on track throughout the beginning of the Ph.D. program. He's always optimistic, always good for a discussion on football, basketball, or homework woes, and always good to destroy me in a game of bowling. Our glorious victory over the local highschool pickup basketball scene will go down as a College Station legend.

Lauren is one of the most resilient person I have ever met. From meeting her on our "first date" for Big/Littles for our women's org, I knew she would be a forever friend. While our pictures are few and far between, Lauren has been a constant support for me to dream big and love your people hard.

Caitlyn is the perennial older sister. Always marching forward with a standard that has been hard to match but great to strive for, Caitlyn has been such an amazing example to me my entire life. Whether it be dragging me up (and pushing me down) waterslides when I was three, blasting Taylor Swift while we drove to high school in the mornings, or giving me great advice throughout college, Caitlyn is an amazing sister.

If I ever needed legal advice, the first person I would call is Bayley Holland. She is one of the most knowledgeable and brilliant minds I have known. From the TAMU21 GroupMe, to standing with me on my wedding day, we have come so far for some girls scared and excited to take on college together.

Laura is an amazing younger sister, and a saint for putting up with me for the past twenty years. She is a great person to talk to about anything, and a fantastic, supportive, sounding board for me. Despite revealing the proposal plans ahead of time, I couldn't think of a better person to have had be my photographer/hype woman for the proposal, and I'm even happier to have her by my side for my wedding.

A profound and resilient individual. Evan is a friend who loves each of his people well. At first, I really didn't think he liked me, but something clicked towards the end of my fellowship and we became fast friends after that. Evan was the first person I talked to about leaving Austin to come back to College Station and he supported me every step of the way with a smile on his face. We are so excited to have him marry us.
