Maid of Honor
Alyssa is a long-time dear friend and housemate of Shelly, and has become fast friends with Nathan. As the person who has lived with Shelly the longest in her adult life and knows her best, Alyssa knew something was up when Shelly came home after meeting him. Shelly and Alyssa met in the Christus chorus at CSP and have been singing and laughing together ever since.
Best Man
Jeff is responsible for Nathan meeting Shelly. He always seems to know what is best for Nathan, and for that both of us are thankful.
Bridesmaid
Bethany and Shelly's friendship goes back to time at Concordia St. Paul and Nicaragua service trips, as well as being in the same church community for several years. Over the years, she and her husband, Phil, have become like family to Shelly and now Nathan, too. Phil and Bethany were the gracious hosts of many Nathan visits during the long-distance stretch.
Groomswoman
Sara is Nathan's sister and honored him as a man of honor in her own wedding. She is quoted (paraphrase) as saying, "I would be friends with Shelly even if you were not dating her."
